  1. Ok I have SB working great now and I am getting the hang of it. When I go to Vectorise an image I monochrome I read that I should be able to select an appropriate set up in a list of vector when I click on the bar for type.I only have one setting in there and the pdf says there should be several setups.

What am I missing or doing wrong?

in the rare case i have to vectorize something, i use inkscape. it has a much better rendering engine than sbe. some of the functions you read about in the learning guide are only available in the higher versions (pro and hotshots).

  2. I used InkScape to create a vector image. Imported in into SignBlazer. Then I resized it and choose CUT.

SignBalzer added these little dotted lines over my image, which I assumed was the NON-cutting path that the knife would move over w/o cutting.

    BUT ...

SignBlazer ALSO added two RED lines that the plotter DOES cut over my design.

What is that and ... how do I stop it?

    Thanks Eric

is the cutter actually cutting lines where you don't want them? i think what you are seeing is the software mapping out the cutter head movement on the cut screen.

ps. a screenshot is worth a thousand words.

  3. I'm not giving in but very close, having way to many issues with SignBlazer , I now am willing to buy software that is compatible ( contour cut ) with the LP. Can anyone give some ideas on what software to purchase. This on & off working issues & re install just to complete the same task I had done days earlier! Nope not doing it anymore. Irrecoverable errors. I'm about to explode

Seriously guys what are my options?

looks like you could use flexi sign pro...

  4. I have cleaned up and vectorized, using vectormagic, handdrawn type for a memorial stone to be sandblasted. am able to import it as eps and it looks great until I send it to cutter . the image then blacks out all the letter centers like in an O or a P and when I cut (ink paper) it does not recognize the O needs two cuts, it only cut the outside (all letters with a center) any ideas Thanks Jim

    try select all > combine

  5. Nite Walker,

       What Laminate are you using?

I know many people here love Cobra Ink, but it's really the printer that's doing the work.

We print with Pigment ink on our Epson Workforce 1100, and have great results. Our customers love the transfers we're doing and we keep selling them more and more.

Got to love a machine that's less then $150, especially when you can adapt a CISS to save money.

what are you using for transfer paper?
