ok call me dumb! I tried to trace in inkscape and then import to SB. It comes up black and white and will only cut black which leaves me without the actual circle. I know im prolly missing something simple but i have saved it and tried a dozen different ways. Can u not import into SB with the 2 different colors?

    Hi from Michigan

Just thought it was time a dropped a note. Little shy here. I was on this forum months ago and found mounts of information. I have recently gotten back on and have spent the last few days reading all of the threads. I am absolutly amazed at the support that all of the members bring to each other. I wanted to say HI TO ALL and Thank you so much for the information and sharing you all do with eachother. The sharing of graphics section just blows my mind. Some day I hope to be able to all share with you. In the meantime, thanks again for the help that you may not even realize you give. Holly

    Hi from Michigan

thanks for the welcome. i will try not to be so shy anymore and tell you a bit about me. i live in a small town of crystal lake. everyone knows everyone. and if they dont they make it up and think they do. i live a mile from a stock car track and bought the cutter to help some friends with their cars and found there are a million other things to do with this thing. too bad im not artistic. but a friend of mine has a daughter that is so talented it blows me away. so i am going to get her involved for a learning experience. she does not have the means to have a computer and internet and i thought it would be a great way for her to catch up and use her abilities while she is young and maybe feel some hope. again. thank you to all. holly

ok guys. Please help me. can u take this car and remove the one and place an 87 on it. And how in the world to you do it. I am missing probably a simple step. and then do i just use the trace option for a better quality? anyone who could do this for me i would appreciate it. if i spent more time playing with the software instead of reading all this stuff to try to figure it out maybe id get it one day. thanks holly

i seen the image as clip art in one of the websites i was at. so i believe it is open for use. i just couldnt find it again. this guy just made stickers with it and sent me one. i dont necessarily have to have that exact cat just one similar. someone allready tried to make me one but the image was filled in with black and all i want is the outlines.

It was a sticker a guy sent to me. Yes I believe it was off ebay. can i just take the sticker, scan it? The actual sticker he gave me had an 87 on it. Am I not supose to use the car if I bought it off ebay?
  16. Hi guys. I don't post much unless I have a question. Well I have a lot but i don't want to be a bother. So I thought I would let you know where we stand on this subject. My husband and myself bought a cutter last summer and just got it running a couple months ago. Took forever withe the serial/usb issue. But reading this forum helped a bunch. I read it every day. I still probably have not read everything. The graphics part of it is driving be bonkers, but hopefully I will figure it out in time. My husbands family owns a sanctioned motocross track, we have a friend who owns a stock car track 1 mile away, and a drag strip about 5 miles away. We have friends that race and thought we could do a little business on the side with them. Doing stickers and t-shirts since we also bought a heatpress and 4 color screen printer. (haven't touched that yet) We just got our DBA 2 weeks ago. Our business name is Jade's Design's. How funny is that. I can't design anything yet. LOL!!! You guys are really helpfull to anyone and full of usefull information. Now all I have to do is learn REALLY what a vector is. Holly

ok i believe it is an imca car. i am so new to this i have no idea how to find a trace of a similar car with the #87 on it for a t-shit. the race car #'s that was posted will not open for me. tells me i dont have to proper program to open it. like i said i am new and have only placed text in signblazer. i have read so many things on this forum and its great, i feel i am just too dumb to apply. never used anything like this at all. wish there was a place to take an actual class or know someone who uses it near by. anyone in michigan?

    pulling my hair out

Hi everyone. I am new here and to cutting and designing. the software seems to be my biggest challenge. wanted to start by making a basic disign of an impca car to put on a t-shirt. i am taking it i have to have certain software just to open some images that i have been finding in someclip art programs that you all have suggested. can anyone tell me where a novice who doesnt even know what a grid is can start?
