Here's a small project I've been working on as an experiment. I just wanted to see how the foil material and paint mask work out. I took a cheap Ikea table and painted it white and added the design to the top. it still needs a protective finish. I'm not really sure I used the right color foil. You judge.... A big thanks Rob for the foil.

Sure, Used paint mask and lined it up on the table, used black enamel spray paint to cover the design. After it's painted you wait for it to become tacky. You should be able to touch it without paint sticking to your finger, but it should be sticky. What I used was a foil I got from Rob at Antiqued-Mirrors.com http://www.shop.antiqued-mirrors.com/Metallic-Holographic-Foil-Sample-Packs-Rolls-By-the-Yard_c6.htm You take some foil and a brush and crumble it up then lay it over the paint and brush it on then pull it off. You just keep doing that until you're happy with the look. Rob has some youtube video's and I just watched those before I gave it a try. He a member on here and does some really amazing work. Thanks all... The wife does have some (really more than some ) say in what I can put up. But I did use the moon guy over the laundry room door.

I wanted to introduce some other greens into the vines and leaves. With just vinyl I could get the effect I was looking for. This was my second shot at using paint mask. The first time I used it on a medallion on the fireplace mantel. I used the same color paint that I used on the accent wall. That guaranteed an exact match. Peabody

Here's some stuff I've done around here. The clock is 24" diameter. The dandelion is 6' tall.

Thanks! No they are not textured. If they were I would have scraped it off I really don't like textured walls or ceilings.... I have been painting the whole house since late June. Almost done, only have the laundry room left.

How to print basic cad pattern
Mr Peabody replied to eiturbe582's topic in LaserPoint Cutting Plotter Discussion
eiturbe582, I use AutoCAD and did a test this morning, you can cut directly from AutoCAD to the Graphtec CE5000-60. It recognizes the cutter as a printer/plotter. I don't know about the lasrepoint though. If you have AutoCAD give it a try, you have nothing to lose. Peabody -
Check your email - sent you the file.

+1 The clear ruined my 6' stencil of a dandelion, after about 2 hours of weeding not to mention several days of work and preparation....

I think it looks fine, straight forward and uncluttered. Shame you can't get a close up pic of a single door.

Love the baseball - Thanks -
I know this is to late but here's a tip, even though I'm using the stabilo pencil - I take painters tape and place it where the mark is going to be and mark on the tape instead of the substrate. After I'm done I just pull the piece of tape off, no need to clean anything. It's a little extra work but....

Need a silhouette mouse or a mouse eating cheese
Mr Peabody replied to Mr Peabody's topic in Graphic Requests
Thanks Big Al - But that's not quite what I'm looking for... Kind of looks like a rat Appreciate it though. The search continues - Anyone else have anything??? -
If it's to be found I figured this is the place.... I'm looking for a silhouette of a mouse standing on it's hind legs. One with a piece of cheese in it's front paws would really be perfect. Does anyone have anything close to this? Thanks - Peabody

Hey All, Need Some Help Deciding How to Cut This Wall Decal
Mr Peabody replied to Kwelp68's topic in General Help
That's a pretty big graphic - Looking forward to seeing it installed. I don't know if you know this, but I thought I'd mention it. When "things" are pieced together the eye always picks out either a horizontal or vertical seam. If there is a way to cut your seams on the diagonal it won't be as noticeable. I don't even know if it's possible as I have never had to tile or do a graphic that big. Maybe some day. Professional wall paper hangers usually hide a seam by doing a wavy cut where 2 pieces join. But they can overlap their material and peel it back. That's being kind of picky, I know. Just my random thoughts...
