SB won't import a pdf, but you can use inkscape to import it and save it as an eps. then import eps into SB www.inkscape.org

it depends on what plug-ins you have installed, not a standard part of photoshop

keyspan is a brand name. on the newer macs you don't have a serial port. all it is is a usb to serial adapter so you can connect your cutter with the serial port cable for faster data transfer. i suggest getting one. costs $20-$30 to save headache

i use photoshop for this if you have it. here's a video you can also use shortcuts to do this. 1)click background with magic wand tool 2)click shift+ctrl+i 3)click ctrl+c 4)click ctrl+v then just delete the layer that has the background

it would be nice if it had a tag on it saying so. it took me about 2 weeks to figure that out when i first got mine

turn off your cutter, exit cut screen, unplug/plug usb in, turn cutter on, and retry you could also try the reset button on the cutter

if you unplug your usb sometimes it does that to me. also for some reason on certain files that have been imported(don't know why it changes)

speed depends on size of cut and also sharpness of the blade. i have cut letters to just under 1/2" at about 12 or 16 for my speed

from cut screen, click setup and check your output device is correct
