charging for 36 feet of cut stickers

In my opinion if your having issues with your current inventory to accomplish this order then its your problem. I hope that doesnt sound rude. But if your going to charge him extra because the logistics dont fit your current work flow, just keep in mind that your client can likely find some place more suited to his task. I used to buy a lot of cut vinyl before i started doing it my self and when people came to me with problems saying they would need to charge extra after they already quoted me unless the order was modified I usually told them to skrew off. Thats just me tho, a lot of people bend over to these kinds of things. But im not exactly sure what you man when you say you only cut 15 inch rolls and that you will have 7 left over. Do you mean you only cut 15 inch WIDE rolls? A lot of people my self included buy it at the 24 inch width. Its cheaper that way for me. I have a 15 roll of black and of white 751 but thats all. Also, this is in the wrong section. Also, people are going to need to know what kind of vinyl your cutting to give you pricing tips. But it sound like you need spacing tips not price advice. But whats wrong with charging your usual hourly rate + mats? If you have a bunch left over dont charge him for vinyl that didnt end up on his sign is my opinion. You could certainly bump up your price a bit because of it but dont literally charge him for the exact vinyl thats not in his sign. Either that or just charge directly by the foot of vinyl up front then add what ever is usual for you.

    I Need Stick People

So whats your point? If you use those logos on ebay you will get a cease and desist order before long. I was watching a guy sell XBOX and PS3 logos and game logos for a while before he got shut down. I wanted to see how much money he was making and how he was doing it but i guess hes not doing it at all any more. Maybe he should have just old Ebay there are numerous sites that you can DL them from?
  5. This thing is like a luxury item! It was expensive as HELL and i still havent made any money but MAN this thing is nice! The only problem is that the roller bars that hold the vinyl are BENT so it has a slight wobble to it. My new blades just got here today so im about to test cut some reflective
  6. My CE5000-60 got here yesterday! Got it set up and running in no time. Ive only cut some thin paint mask mats so far but wow this thing kicked its butt! instant weeding with no snags and perfect corners!
  7. So ive been doing a little research on the tec behind the motors and its pretty impressive. But what i want to know is, is there a noticeable difference between the steppers and servos? I think im going to order my new cutter tonight. Im really excited about the tangential cutting Eventually i will fix my other USCutter Refine and keep it for back up and other jobs.

Choosing the Right Vinyl Art for You

AWESOME! I SURE WILL. So this means we can use your designs right? Now if you could just please upload all of your .EPS docs the the forums we would love to make some wall art or elegant quotes!
  9. Thanks guys this is just the kind of thing I needed to hear. I hate to have to spend the money at this time of year BUT I would hate even more to be without a cutter at this time of year! Cant wait to get it
  10. Ok so I have the MH-751 cutter. It was doing fine until a while ago when it was mysteriously attacked and the left most piece of little plastic that supports the feed bar was busted out of place. After a while i was able to figure out to problem and resolve it my self. But now it it making imperfections in my reflective vinyl. Also i know that the vector is not the issue. As you can see the corners are not squared up and there is a tag on the top right of the H! This happens in more than one place per cut and can obviously ruin my weeding attempts. Im using a Roland 60 blade. Ive tried all different pressure and speed combos and blade extension lengths. The vinyl is oracal 5600. I dont seem to be having problems with other types of vinyls as often but they still give me this same problem from time to time. Also, i have no problems getting a throught and though cut like other have talked about. I weeds fine except for where it has those tags. I just looked at a cut of the exact same design cut into the Oracal 810 stencil mask and it was much more precise and didnt have the tag on the H. Is the MH series just not good with reflective? Because I use it a lot. THX
  11. Have you fixed this yet? IF you remove the bottom of the cutter you will see three long bass screws pointing in to the rollers, One at each far end of the machine and one in the middle. Tighten the on the loose roller.
  12. Ok i guess it was pretty stupid to not buy the freaken stand for the cutter when i got it in order to save a lousy 30 bucks. I guess that is the price i pay to be self taught but then again i love doing it this way. Can some body please point me to where i can buy just the stand for the MH cutter? P.S. For those of you who were wonder about my other thread, yes i was able to fix it. TY to those who responded to my thread and to the support people who told me how to fix it.
  13. Thank you skeet. This should increase my productivity by a lot. But why is this thing 60$ when if i add one to the purchase of a cutter its only an extra 20$? Thats an extra 40$ that i wasnt planning on.
  14. Its been a few weeks since i used the ol USCUTTER MH and now its not cutting correctly. It will draw with the pen tool mostly well but it wont cut accurately. I have replaced the blade, adjusted the pressure, speed and depth of the blade and changed media. I have cut card stock as well as Oracal 651. Both the test pattern and my own gfx are getting highly distorted. Lines dont connect and shapes get distorted. I think the left feed roller is broken. When i apply some pressure it has more give than the right feed roller. And theres this. . . If you zoom in (Ctrl+Mouse Wheel Up) you can see what looks like a broken bearing or washer against the left side cover in side at the end of roller! Is it busted? Its less than a year old so should be covered since i kept the box. Do I need to buy a full priced cutter for $1,000USD? Ive got obligations, some of witch are now NULL because of this accident. If im going to be cutting vinyl with any reasonable certainty do I need to buy a new more expensive model? Two weeks worth of work and a HUGE upcoming trade show event are in the garbage now because of this.
  15. I have. I got a response telling me that I needed to tighten a retaining screw underneath the roller on that side. I did so but it did not solve the problem. The issue is caused by a broken piece of plastic on that side of the cutter. I havent gotten another response back yet.
