  1. I typically use the following formula for single color pricing; length+width÷2 for example he said the decal on the side is 14' long lets assume its 12" tall so I would take 168"+12”=180” divide that by 2 and you get a price of $90 for that decal, figure in you installation and youre good to go!

  2. Do some research on Salt Life copyright this is one of the few companies where youll find that they obviously dont want you to copy their decals exactly they do encourage spins off their idea such as country life...bottom line they cant copyright every kind of life there is haha

  3. Looks great! On a decal that size with a flat surface I would use the hinge method and lay it dry once you do it dry you wont do it any other way its quicker, if careful alot less bubbles, less mess and bc of that alot less clean up....less materials used means more $$$

  4. Correct tsmart go around and tape all your vinyl into place and get it postioned just how you want it. then lay some masking tape vertical in the center of your vinyl on both the top and bottom. Remove the tape from one half, peel the vinyl back and cut the backing. Start from the inside and squeegie from the center out removing all bubbles. Once you lay the first half your vinyl will stay in place so remove the tape from the other side and again work from the center out. Like any other application you will have a small amount of bubble but other time and with heat they will eventually go away on their own. Again though like I said earlier its all personal preference, thats just how I like to do it but I know guys that still stick by the anything over 12x12 rule has to be a wet application.

  5. tsmart you raise a good point with cutting the letters out which will probably work just fine in this case but when you do a big storefront with alot more letter this can we quite time consuming and yes you may be able to see a little bump over time but its alot less noticable will black (in my opinion) and as far as apply dry thats what I presfer to do with the hinge method (tape the middle, lay a half at a time) Like I said it can take some practice to get the method down really good but once you do (again in my opinion) it makes it much easier. All in all it comes down to personal preference all good points were raised, well done tsmart!

  6. Hey there! If you dont mind me asking how much did you charge for the little stickersw on the wine glasses? I was asked to do something very similar to this but they needed about 200 of them. They decided at the last minute that it was something they werent going to do but I was still kind of tihnking to myself what I would charge if they did go through with it. Thanks!

  7. Hey there I guess I dont quite understand where your going with cutting out the compound and trying to line up the letters? I would cut the letters lay them on and lay the black over top of that. Looks much more finished and professional plus take ALOT less time and effort then sitting there trying to line up all the letters. As far as application goes I always suggest a dry app. using the hinge method it takes a little getting used to but youll have alot less bubbles and mess and onceyou get the hang of it ull never apply anything wet again.

  8. Hey guys new to this whole thing on here so just trying it out! I do have a graphic I am looking for though that I cant seem to find anywhere its an old "jetpilot" decal it has to do with personal watercraft stuff. Ive found 1 picture and it isnt very good so when I vectorize it it turns out bad. I really need to find this logo so if anyone has it and is willing to share or knows where I can get it it would be much appreciated!! Thank you in advance!
