  1. I am cutting a rather flimsey material (a plastic film) I am cutting an irregular shape about 1/2" wide. I would like to keep the central "cutout' portion attached to the shape by small (1/8") un cut areas. Think of a circle with a central circle cut out but still attached at a few points to the outer circle. I can make two circles with a space between them and attach them but that would cause the knife to cut out a thin strip between the circles, I would like to keep it as 1 cut. Once my film is applied the ties can be cut and the central portion removed. it will make application much easier. I am using Corel X3 exported to sign cut. Any ideas? Thank you, Stuart
  2. You can also play with several broken off contours and combining them into a new object. I do that a lot with model airplane covering where I want to add 5mm overlaps of the material but not have the border completely under the center object. The white border for example in the picture. I am also not sure what your last statements referred to but if you only want to create a border around the outside of the letters and not the inside try effects create boundry first and then apply a contour.
  3. I have been using SC pro for just a couple of weeks and this is the second time this has happened. I can't cut anything. When clicking the cut out icon or from the menu, the save as window opens. I tried restarting my computer etc. I think the first time this happened I had to remove the program and reinstall. Re-enter all my settings etc. I am using this on a Win 7 64 nit machine with a Creation Pcut 24" model. I did send a support request to sign cut but I thought I woulds try here as well. Thanks, Stuart
