  1. Wow, I never expected to get a response like this, I'm really taken back. It was never my intention to offend anyone in this forum by posting a photo of my vehicle. This is and will continue to be my 'work' truck. I was just looking to pick the brains of this forum to give me some ideas on how I could utilize this vehicle, in part, to showcase some of my vinyl work. Yes, sort of a rolling 'billboard'. I do not want a full wrap.

I would like to address your statements about this vehicle being obnoxious and a gas guzzler. As far as being obnoxious, every one is entitled to their own opinion. My vehicle prior to this was a V6 Ford Explorer and on its best days, it got about 22 miles per gallon, considerable less as it aged. The H2 gets 19 plus miles to the gallon and because of where I live (the great white north), our road conditions etc. I have found this vehicle to be safe, reliable and, cost effective.

I am really sort of ashamed of myself for feeling compelled to justify owning and keeping this vehicle. Yes, I am unemployed and yes I do have very limited funds, unfortunately like many others in this day and age. But I will keep plugging away on my cutter and hopefully one day I will have enough knowledge and skills to make enough money to supplement my family income, which I assume is the goal of many of us in this forum.

Again, my sincerest apologies to everyone if I have in any way offended you. It was never my intention...

  2. O.K., O.K. The first post was in January, now it is April...talk about procrastination, eh? Any how, here is a photo of my beast. Not the best pic, my kid took it. Does anyone have any ideas on how I might 'trick' this thing out with vinyl? I have the Hummer font, but I not sure where to place it. Any graphic ideas? Please nothing cutesy, I would like tough...

Thank you all for any input...

  3. Per chance does anyone have a echinacea vector (corn flower) or one that I could 'evaluate' or even a site where I could get one to clean up? A customer wants it on her sign. Any help would be greatly appreciated...

  4. I use WinPCSign 2010 and at first hated it. It was just the learning curve. I now understand most of it. The only thing that I am not hot on is the vectoring portion of it. I don't think that it does this very well. This program cost me $280.00 a year ago, so $150.00 is a good deal. The cd tutorial is sort of Mickey Mouse, but it gets the point across, somewhat. I have 'tried' to download Sign Blazer to see the difference, but can't get it to correspond with my chinese cutter. If you should need further information, pm me...

  5. So here goes. I own a cutter (cheap Chinese) and so far it is working fine. One day I will upgrade. I wanted to offer decals so I looked into buying a WF1100. Not available in Canada. Then I looked into sublimation. Question; can the Epson WF110 make decals and do sublimation?

I know for sublimation that I will have to purchase a heat press. What is the main difference in the swing arm and the clam shell?

For printers I was thinking about a Ricoh 3300 or the GX 7000. Which one would you purchase? Can these print decals or do just sublimation? I realize that this post in all over the place. I have spent hours researching all I can and I am sooooooo confused. I can't believe how limited equipment is here in Canada. I wish I could order everything from the States, but the shipping, duties and taxes are a real killer.

I really need the best bang for my buck, so any suggestions as what I should purchase would be so greatly appreciated.

    Thank you for your time...

  6. Well I am having a heck of a time just finding the 'correct' Signblazer. The one that I have installed doesn't have any of the above cutters. Went through all of the posts, but none of the links are valid anymore.

This is the model my 'salesman' told me to use to get the driver. It is a 28 inch cutter.

    RedSail Tech

Model: RS720RS I don't see that listed above.

Can you please attach the link for the correct version? Maybe I will just have to use what I own...WinPCSIGN Pro 2010.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.....gosh I feel old today!
