    I guess the question I'm asking is what color Oracal vinyl is pantone pms 471 and pms 7533? Or does any vinyl maker classify their vinyl by pms number?

    Hi all -

    I have a customer looking for a couple of specific colors. I've googled and searched sites (this one included) and can't seem to figure out how to locate the vinyl I need.

    I'm looking for vinyl that matches PMS 471 and 7533.

    Are there charts somewhere that matches the Pantone numbers to the vinyl? I sure can't find them.

    I use one of those letter openers that you get as advertisement pieces - you know, they're rectangle and have a razor blade mounted in them. I align the vinyl with the one of the indents on the cutter, then slide the opener the length of the vinyl. It cuts smooth and leaves a straight edge for the next use.

    It's really early, I hope I explained this correctly :blink:

    I just finished a truck using CFS2410PRM-003 Creative Films PRIME SERIES 24'' by 10yd Metallic Film-003 Polychrome Silver $37.99

    I ordered it from US Cutter, applied like any vinyl. Went on pretty easy and looked great, even more importantly the client thought it looked great.

    This is the better quality of the two available - I've never used the cheaper stuff so can't give any advice on it.

    So even though I've cut about 6 rolls of 24 inch vinyl with it in the last two months without any issues, it would all of a sudden start acting up and need the keyspan or memory? (it's grounded already) I would think that an issue with memory or lack of keyspan would have surfaced the first week. I'm not cutting any files that are larger than anything else I've cut.

    Oh well, I'll try it tomorrow and if it acts up I'll start with the memory chip, then the keyspan.... then a different cutter.

    Hi all -

    I've been a member for a short time - spending most of it reading. Now I have an issue with my MH871 -

    Yesterday it was cutting fine and had zero issues, today it won't cut a complete file. It starts correctly, then it comes to a stop and doesn't start again. I've rebooted everything, prefed the vinyl, cleaned the knife, used a different cable, tried different settings in SB. Nothing seems to fix the problem. Unfortunately, I brought it from Florida to Ohio to help my brother with some signs and am leaving Monday AM, so I'm kinda under the gun here and am open to any suggestions.

    It's a MH871 with SB software, running windows 7 home premium.

    Any ideas that I can try?
