    Newb question... adhesive

hey all. If I print on non adhesive inkjet vinyl, is there a product that can make the front (art side) the sticky part for application behind a clear substrate? If yes... what is it called and where can I get it? Thanks!

    Epson 9600 and vinyl decals

Hey guys. I am fairly new to this and I am acquiring an Epson 9600 next week to supplement some of my color printing needs. My question is about printing stickers/decals. I'm going to look into producing custom artwork for gaming/redemption machines. What sort of material do I need? I mean I know I need self adhesive inkjet vinyl... but what specifically should I get? And where do I get it? What is the "top shelf liquor" of adhesive vinyl? What's the "well drink" of adhesive vinyl? Also, The ultrachrome ink that this printer uses is dye based. Is that the best for this type of application? I know there are refill kits for pigment based inks... but I am not sure if that's advisable. Eventually I want to be able to make high quality silk screened vinyl graphics... but that's a ways off. Any advice? Thanks for the help.

    Another new guy from Oregon

Hello! I've been thinking about starting a printing business for years now. My background is IT/graphics design. i used to work for Adobe so I've got a little bit of experience working with the print industry. My goal is to one day be able to quit my day job and do this full time. I'd like to do signs, banners, engraving, awards, screen printing... but I don't have the funds to buy everything right out of the gate. I just picked up a used (only 6 months old) LaserPoint 24" for a song and am excited about the possibilities. Hopefully I'll be successful enough to upgrade eventually, get the equipment I need and do this instead of working for the man. I've been lurking around here for a while and you guys seem great and knowledgeable. I hope you'll continue to be a great resource as I try to get this off the ground. Thanks! Jeremy
