Any Plugins for Corel into Flexi ?

Finally got my 24" pcut reading both Flexi & SB. I know there isn't a SB plugin for Corel but is there a Flexi plugin for Corel so I can bring artwork from corel to Flexi ? Thanks

    OK, Received my 24" PCut

Ok, last Monday I won a bid for the creation pcut 24 for $335. It finally came this past Monday. It did have alot of scratches underneath where the fan is located. I'm hoping that the unit is new, as advertised and not a reconditioned unit. Got the stand together in about 45 min after figuring out by process of elimination what screws go wear. Installed all the drivers and Signblazer software about 3 times before the install was successful. I was starting to worry for a minute. I must admit, even though I had to install & uninstall a few times, getting the cutter up & running was easier than the roland and the graphtec I had in the past. I haven't had time to cut anything yet but I have done some plotting with the pen tool. Everything seems to be working fine. The cutter reads the commands instantly,,starts plotting right away. And to be honest, the Signblazer software seems easier to use than Flexi Pro. But I'm sure thats because I'm not a pro. So all in all, I think the cutter is pretty good and I got a good deal on it. Much better then the $1700 + for those other cutters. An optical eye to measure the material would have been nice. Also as long as the cutter is on, the fan stays on, that is annoying but I could live with it. I'll give an update on how the cutter cuts after Thanksgiving. Thanks

    T shirt design

very good, i'll try 130 with the blade barely sticking out.

    T shirt design

I tried setting the pressure to 130 and it ripped the heck out of the material so I went back to 60 on the pressure which was an increase from 50. It seemed to work good. I first tried 130 because I noticed the test mode was set to 130 and the test works fine. I'll try what you said about the blade and 130. Thanks

    T shirt design

Thanks, I did have 2 issues with the cutter. I know it's a tech support thing but I'm going to ask you anyway, maybe you can help. #1. I only did 7 of these pieces when the blade started skipping and the piece became hard to weed. I haven't checked the pressure yet. I'm hoping that the blade lasts longer than 7 cuts. #2. The control panel seems to be acting up a little. When I try to switch between modes the LCD switches back and forth between modes, then finally it will stay on the mode I want. It wasn't doing that when I first received the cutter 2 weeks ago. Have any of you had any of these issues before? :help:

Wont cut after importing from corel

Thanks I'll give it a go.
  14. Any tips on how to cut after importing from corel. My artwork imports with no problem but when I try to send to the cutter I get a message that there is a bitmap on the page. I tried converting to curves, I've tried vectorizing but it wont do it. See attached graphic. I have the same problem trying to cut from Flexi Sign Pro.

    OK, Received my 24" PCut

Whats up, I bought this cutter because it got many good reviews. It just has to cut vinyl and Shirt material, no need for fancy bells and wistles. It's like a car. I have a 2005 Honda and a 2002 Crysler. Sure I would love to have a Benz, but my older cheaper cars do the same exact thing as the Benz. They get me from point A to point B. I don't see spending 5x the amount of money right now for what I'm doing. Maybe in the future if I grow and get alot more work. But I must say, after using the Roland and the Graphtec, I'm real comfortable with my choice of this cutter. I finally found the time to cut with it and it works great. Very quiet, very fast, very easy to use. The control panel is very easy to figure out. SignBlazer seems to be real easy to figure out also. Although I am having trouble cutting something I made in Corel but it's not a SB issue, it's me not knowing what I'm doing. I think I need to go back into Corel photo to convert my art from bitmap to vector. The SB software also has a real good help button, explains things in easy to understand terms. I feel I made a good choice spending $335 instead of $1700 +. Hope this helped you. Happy Holidays to all.
  17. Hey Now,,, Everyone is talking about the refine mh721. I hope the creation pcut24" is as good as the 721 your talking about. I was going to wait till uscutter got more copams but some customers are waiting for me & I don't want to lose them, I just lost a 200 shirt order but was told not to worry, there will be more to do, so we'll see. I do have some truck lettering standing by as well as 2 small shirt orders, 1 dozen ea. The cutter should be coming on friday. Can't wait. Someone say something good about the pcut 24"

    How does this look?

I used an old Roland Camm1. Took about 2 hrs to apply and a little longer to cut and weed. What would have been a fair price for this? Thanks

    How does this look?

OK, I decided not to wait for the Copam to be restocked? After hearing most of you say that the creation pcut was pretty good, I got the PCUT24" on e-bay from UScutter for $335. When you add the $60. shipping it comes out to a savings of $65 if I would have bought from uscutter website. I'll put that towards some material. I do have 2 jobs waiting for me. Hope the cutter comes before the end of next week. Thanks for all the input. Hope I'm happy with it.

    How does this look?

What is your opinion? Would you wait for US cutter to get Copams back in stock or would you just go with the refine or Pcut? I've read stories about the software not working with these cutters. How is this signblazer software that they come with. Since I have Flexi pro, I guess the SB would be a good addition to my software collection. Did you say if the refine or pcut have any troubles with Flexi Pro? And one last time then, the Refine or Pcut or wait for the Copam?

    How does this look?

I only refer to them as hobby cutters because thats how I saw it referred to by someone else. I guess I was wrong. And thats a good thing, because then I wont worry about buying one. So your saying the refine cutter is a good machine? Maybe I'll go for one of them. Do they work fine with Flexi Sign Pro 7.6? What about Corel Draw 12? Will it cut right from Corel? Thanks
  22. ppalmernc

    How does this look?

I should never have sold the Graphtec, it was a nice machine. Have you had any experience with the Desay cutters, their $499 & up, I'm afraid of the old saying playing out if I buy one. You know the saying, You get what you pay for. I really can't spend more then a K right now. Any other suggestions for under $1000?

    How does this look?

I got rid of the Camm 1, then got a graphtec for a while. I got rid of that also because I was relocating. Now I'm in NC and wish I'd never got rid of any of them. So now I'm in the market for another one. I've been looking at the Copam but they ran out of them. I don't know how long before they get more. Don't know if it's worth the wait, I have some customers lined up for some shirts, I don't want to lose them. I was considering a cutter from Desay. But I don't know how good they could be for $400.00. I do want something better than a hobby machine. I'm open for suggestions. Thanks

    How does this look?

Thanks At first I thought I was charging too much. But like you said, I gotta pay the rent.

    How does this look?

Then I guess I did pretty good, I got $250 for both sides. But you didn't say what you thought of the job.
