  1. maybe I can help you with this, can you post a pic of the logo that you are going to cut.  I am thinking if it is just a couple colors use diffrent colored vinyl and layer it, if not they make a special vinyl you can print on in a inkjet printer, it just takes some time figureing out how to line it all up

  2. For the vinyl I used Mactech 8300 pro, for outside stuff, or cars I always use the best vinyl, unless its temporaary, inside any cheap stuff will hold up forever. Stickemup is half right, I did cut the transfer tape (always a good idea on curved surface's), but I did it dry, due to the fact that mailbox is plastic and pourise, and also I really hate the wet method! (I only use wet methond when installing large graphics on cars) it just seems to take to long to dry, and way to much squeeging.  I perfer to put a piece of tape in the middle of the graphic and cut the backing, and apply half at a time (hinge method) this way takes time and patiance other wise you can really screw it up!  Thanks for all the comments!  I just listed some "flame mailbox kits" on ebay hopefully I can sell a 100 of them!  That would make me happy, then I could go get a ATV! lol

  3. from the time I placed my order online to the time I had it at my door was about 4-5 days.  got everything in great condition, and I actually ordered the starter pack or vinyl, and they sent me all high grade vinyl, didn''t even send any cheap stuff.  I will definatly order from them again, and it is free shipping if you spend over $50.  I just wish they would overnight it for free. lol but as they say beggers cant be choosers.  I love that place, I am actually not even sure where to get anything from around here.

  4. I wouldn't even bother with making this many small decals, I would outsource the job to strouse.  Actually, I would probabbly do 50, but maybe not a 100.  for family i wouldnt mind (or a close friend) but it all depends on you.  if you could weed these things say, like while you watch tv sure why not.

As for price I would figure out how much vinyl It would take to make 100, then just use how much you would charge for that much vinyl.(if using 24" vinyl make sure you charge for all 24"/2', I always round up to the nearest half ft.) when pricing vinyl by the sg. ft. I would get about $9-$20 a sq. ft. based upon how hard it is to design, weed, etc.  For the large quanity I would give a discount also.

ok so lets see on 24" vinyl with the decals being 3" x 5" you could fit 7 in a colom (leave space, you dont want them right on top of each other) ok so with 7 in a colum you need 15 colums to get 100 decals and if they are 5" wide then that would make 75".  so total vinyl needed would be 24" x 78" (rounded up to nearest half ft.) convert that to ft. and you get 2' x 6.5' multiply that you have 13 sq. ft.  Then I would multiply the 13 by my charge for vinyl by the sq. ft.($9-$20) that would give you a price range of $117-$260 for the 100 decals.  not how you pick a # in that range will vary on how hard the logo is to weed, and if you had to design it at all.  if its an easy logo to weed, or for a friend I would be at about $120, if its a hard one then I would be at about $190 for all 100 decals.  your cost for this job (just for vinyl) should only cost you about $10 at the most, so figure how much your time is worth, if your time for this job is worth $110, then go with the quote for $120.

Hoped this helped, and wasn't to confusing!

  5. they actually have a vinyl that you can print on in your regular printer, I forget who makes it, but all you have to do is print, and then cut, (alot harder than it sounds).  it is a pain getting it to line up, but for simple color fades you can actually use some krylon in a rattle can, and then clear coat on just about all types of vinyl

  6. this guy at work wanted 2 fillipino flag's, and we agreed on a price of $20, when I went to deliver he only wanted to pay $5 for them, what a cheap azz!  that's why you should make sure you always get a 50% deposit!  thought I didn't have to becasue he is a friend, well no more exceptions anymore!  well, let me know what you think anyways
