  1. This is one example of how illustrator will solve your underline issue. You should share with us what software package you are working in.
  2. Friends & Family GATHER HERE Can't Be Done! But if I were to try... I think this is what you want to cut out. Couple things to do. The G and E need to be plain text 34 pt The center letters ATHER HER should be Bold 20 point to keep the same text thickness Friends and Family 12 point. To fit you can expand the text or change character spacing. use an & to reduce spacing Change your leading between text lines or Cut each line separately to position closer together. You may have to adjust the Point size Underlining text can be tricky. Try not to under line desenders like the y in family. Best thing might be to draw a box the width of your line and position it before cutting. NY resident, Bob

......what it would take to EDGE them or produce them with vinyl. It takes about a 1/2 hour in the morning just to get the printer to produce a good quality print that is acceptable to the customer WVsignguy, Do you use the Encad ICC profiles for your Croma24? And Have you set up Print presets for each paper type you are using? This might save you some time. Bob
  4. Terry, I looked this up on Google under Name frame. The art is for gift giving. The Name frame could also be created by printing photos on vinyl and cutting the vinyl on your UScutter. Yes, this is also a Photoshop?>???? creation using layers and outline paths. The resolution of the enlarged text outline is important to pay attention to. NY resident, Bob

    ENCAD inks

I beg to differ with you Terry. I just printed four vinyl outdoor signs for a local venison processor using GO inks. The problems I encountered were because my printer had faulty new print heads (right out of the wrapper). The shelf life is not the greatest, but I figure if I prime it once or twice a day they will stay clear of drying ink. The outcome looks sharp from my novajet 760 and the customer is pleased. I'm letting them dry overnight because I plan to laminate them for outdoor use. Even though the GO inks will hold up in the rain. The signs will fade in the sun and I expect the UV laminate will protect it from road salt. NY resident, Bob
