I don't have anything newer than 2005. If that will do then I will get it. I am sure some folks have newer.

I am starting to understand some of the blade adjustments, maybe. But one is still bothering me. What does the actual height adjustment really do. I have raised the blade up and down and the blade still goes down to the same spot. I understand that once the blade hits the vinyl then the downforce comes into play. When I install my blade holder all the way down, I still have a 1/4 inch or so above of vinyl. That leaves me with still another possible 1/4 inch or more that I can adjust the blade holder upwards. Can someone explain what to expect when the blade height is raised up and down. I am driven towards this questions from some of my previous posts about my cutting difficulties. I was having problems with getting little cuts outside of a feature like a simple circle. I since have gotten new blades and a new holder from Ken. I am still having issues with this. I have played with every setting imaginable and was able to get things to look better, I am still getting these little cuts. So now I am going to start messing with the blade. So I want to know what I am exactly doing before I do it. Matt

It's awesome how everyone here is so friendly and helpful. Especially with graphics. Whenever someone asks for a design there are always several people offering everything they got. Which makes me wonder just how many graphic files does everyone have in their library. I just ran a search for .eps on my computer (3700) and was amazed how many I have. I bet I didn't even know I had most of these. Any idea how many you have?

It doesn't look like you really need a graphic for that. It looks like it's just some text slapped on a banner. If that is the case then you can make that up in any program in a minute. Unless I am not understanding what you are looking for. Matt

I got a buddy that want me to vinyl up his racing helmet with all the flames. We were thinking of tipping the flames with some paint and doing a little highlighting. What is needed to do this. Can it be done to any vinyl with special paint or both? MattS

Between eps, ai, and a few others I am around 40,000 and trying to organize all of them. It has been a long process and has taken many hours but I think I am getting it. I keep everything on a 80gig external pocket drive.

Thanks guys. I got a couple questions: How will the paint handle any stretching and forming for around a helmet? He wants to just do a little tipping and light highlighting on the vinyl so I figured the painting would have to be done after the cutting. Would there be any issue with the paint seeping under the vinyl? He will be the one doing the painting. He's got some high end air brush and I don't do that stuff. We might be a little limited on our vinyl selection. He wants a hammered gold vinyl that we will cut into a full wrap flame pattern. How tough is this going to be?

I am continuing the long task of trying to clean up my collection of images on the puter. I am running into a lot of duplicates but it is just finding them one at a time. Does anyone know of a way to do a search and find files with same names? That will at least get rid of those. Then I would just have all the same images with different names to worry about. I don't want to remove them automatically. I would like to view them first to make sure they are not the same.

I am wanting to have text follow a arch that isn't a standard circle. I am using SBE and I see there is a button to follow a path, but I can't figure out how to create the path to follow. Here is the SB file if it is easier for someone to just do it. Or tell me how. Or if you do it, still tell me how. Kinda in a hurry to get this done. I have been spending a lot of time lately just cleaning up and organizing graphic files. I am starting to see that I have a lot of doubles in .ai and .eps . If these are the exact same file, which one should I keep.

I have been in the market for a basic color plotter/cutter for making decals. I don't know if I am looking at the right stuff because I want something that can print white on clear vinyl for the small decals that I don't want to mess with on my cutter. I have been mainly looking at the Roland PC-12, PC-50, and PC-60 in the used market. So far these are the only ones that I have seen that can do white and I guess I am not really sure all three can do it. For the application I am wanting to do which is mainly window decals and such, what should I be looking for? Are there any other brands out there that will do this? If so can I get the brand and model? And what else do I need to make outdoor decals besides the vinyl and ink(ribbon)? Help, I am hoping to get one fairly soon.

I use to have my usb running through a hub and was having that problem. Once I hooked it directly to my computer, the problem is gone.

:woohoo:Holy Cow. I have had my cutter with SB-E for several months now and I just found the symbol library. Where was this all my life. I have been searching for tons of stuff that I already had and didn't even know it. What a collection of great material that can be used everywhere. I found it on accident when I must have clicked somewhere and didn't know it. This is great. This just opened my doors to so many more design options. This is great. I guess I need to spend some quality time and see what else I am missing with this program. Jerry, is there some documentation somewhere that can be printed that shows all these images.
