    cardboard cutting? yes or No

I tried using a backing to start with and it never really worked well... I don't use a backing now, I just set the blade so it just barley cuts through and I've gotten excellent results. I was using a couple strips of masking tape over the cutting strip to protect it... that worked pretty well but I wanted something better. Picked up some UHMW tape and that seems to be holding up very well.

Yep that certainly does I don't know how I missed those.. searched yesterday and didn't see any. I'd like to have a few that have trailing flames. Thanks!

    cardboard cutting? yes or No

I have a Pcut... but I cut card stock all the time. Most business cards and the card stock I use is .010" thick. I would think the Refine could cut it too.
  7. You're more than welcome Having the blade and pressure set correctly makes a huge difference.

    Iam selling my CNC ROUTER

Looks like the gantry uprights are plywood? Gas pipe for linear rails..? What's the Z travel? Does a router come with it and what kind of accuracy can you hold? Thanks
  15. I cut card stock on a regular basis. Once everything is setup correctly it cuts right through it.. I tried all different ways of cutting but the best way is to set the blade and pressure correctly... no backer or sticky sheet. I think the LP is the same as a Pcut except for the laser

Wanting to build a t shirt rack

We made a "light rack" out of some conduit and fittings... has held up for about 6 years now. Conduit and fittings are fairly cheap, stronger than PVC too YMMV

No Activation Code - Been OVer 3 weeks!

Mine had the same problem, crashing SB because of certain graphics. I thought it was probably due to running low on memory. I don't think it's done it once since going to SB Pro. I have never noticed a problem with the toolbar.

No Activation Code - Been OVer 3 weeks!

I have no idea about their support.. I've been fairly happy with SB, even with a couple minor squawks. What "support concerns" do you have with SB ?

No Activation Code - Been OVer 3 weeks!

There are two good threads about this... here's what Jerry posted "The longest time should be just a few minutes. Our biggest problem is SUPER AGGRESSIVE SPAM filters. Unless you add the registration email address to your email address book many times your Activation Code finishes up in your junk email folder. Check there. Or because of this we have added online registration to our website. After you enter the information you will see the Activation Code displayed on screen. Simply copy and paste into SignBlazer. Here is the link http://www.colorchromefirst.com/sbe_activate.htm "

    Day Job

Design and Manufacture products for General Aviation. Got the cutter to make placards and cut-out poster board templates for instrument panels.
  23. If you go "file" then "work space setup" you can change the size of the sign/border As far as it taking off for parts unknown... If you select cutter what all do you have selected in the window to the left? Once the cutter window is open.. select setup.. What all do you have checked there?
  24. Make sure you don't have something set in SB telling it to go there..
