I tried mine for the first time last night. Took about 15-20 swipes at first. Now it works on the first swipe. It's so nice.
  2. I guess all the material there is print on. I just want some standard black and white for decal work. The guy who called me from 3M told me to call the 1-800 number to get specific numbers then get back to him to get me the free samples.
  3. What do you recommend that I get? I have not filled out anything like this before. I am also not really familiar with any of the products. I would like some white and black vinyl. Thanks

    Where to find mugs

Do those mugs have the lines from the two halfs being put together like the dollar tree ones?

    Where to find mugs

Looks about the same as the Dollar Tree ones. Personally, I will not buy anything from Wall-Mart. They are one of the worlds worst companies and I will not give them my hard earned money.

How long did it take for you to get? I received a email saying it was shipped, in my hands 2-3 days later. It took about 2-3 months before it got shipped out to me though. It's a new product on the market and everything is still in the works for the company.

I received mine in the mail a couple days ago. Haven't had a chance to use it yet. It's so cool and small!

My first dabble into sand blasting

I have both the Air Eraser from harbor freight and a sandblasting box from Tractor Supply. I really like the box a lot more because I do my work down the basement.
  10. Using a small pancake air compressor and a very cheap home made cabinet with an air eraser, I have produced this result. Tell me what you think!

    Where to find mugs

Can you throw it in the dishwasher a few times and come back with the results? I have heard when we do those bottles, we might need to spray a clear coat over the sandblasted area. I read that in some other area of the forum. I have been keeping an eye out on those bottles too!

    Where to find mugs

I have yet to see the mugs online. I was just recently in one of my local stores and picked up 24. I was talking to the manager as he walked them out to my truck (wahoo!!) asking if they would always be in stock. He replied that they are a big hit and have been in their system for about a year now and don't look like they will stop carrying them. I would try to contact a manager from the store, or a different branch. I really like them and just recently found the true supplier of the mugs too: http://www.libbey.com/content/view/61/89/ I haven't really had any time to look into them, they seem as a good manufacturer, but they work through a distributor line up. I am hoping to find a little bit more quality mugs later down the road, one that does not have a line between the two halfs of the mug. If anyone finds a better mug for maybe $1 or $2, I would love to know! Hope that helps.

    MY first paying customer

First paying customer. What do you think? It's the Bar camp Rochester Logo. This has set up a order of around 100 and about 25 later down the road this year too. Also at their event will be a sign up for more orders. A couple questions: What would you charge for 15 of these? Also what is your price break down? (ie. set up, price per mug..) I'll post my costs later down the thread. I used tape to cover everything on the mug except for the logo, is this the best way to go? It took a lot of time to mask and unmask, is there a better way? Does the mug have to be fully covered? Thanks!

    2 tiles i made

The way I would go. (and will be doing very soon, still in the planning and get to know part of the business) Figure out what your labor rate per hour will be. Then take the cost of materials, add the labor figure for how long it took you, then add at least 40-50% for profit.

    Hello from Rochester, NY

I bought my first cutter recently and looking to come into the world. Any help would be grateful on any topics of vinyl, types, differences and such. Really interested in the glass etching.

    Hello from Rochester, NY

Oh yeah, I have. It's been about 3-4 hours of constant reading, I also got yelled at when the gf got home and I forgot to get the laundry out of the dryer.
