I was looking at the comparison chart. I assume if it's got a green dot in the chart, it's got it? But is a black dot only part of it compared to no dot?

Yes of course I aim to get to know the software like the back of my hand....I will have plenty of time in lockdown! The one thing that made me go for the Pro version was, I was playing around with vectorizing images on the demo ltr and pro versions and on the pro version you got another tool bar on the left in the vectorizing window. Haven't worked out what each one does yet but I thought more the merrier?

I want to cut a simple 4 petal flower out of vinyl, with the middle a different colour than the petals. I have found lots of clip art of 4 petal flowers but when I vectorize it and trace it, it traces the outside of the shape and also the inside of the line? Seems the outline is not just a line but a thicker than normal line hence tracing the inside edge and inner edge of the line? I end up with a wire frame of the flower not a solid piece of flower? I was going to cut out a circle in a different colour afterwards and stick it in the centre many thanks

I think.... i dont know why I had the same text in different colours on top of each other? When i sent it to the cutter there was multiples of the same text in different colours on the cut list. So i ungrouped them all and pulled each text to one side and deleted the ones underneath.....been a long day!

Thanks, I have put some text on the design and i can change the colour on all the text except the last lot of text ive put on? Its strange i can click one lot of text and change colour then i type in some new and its in white, i can change the font, size add an outline but not change the colour?

Not sure what happened? I tried putting coloured text on the same design and the text stayed as an outline of the text, same with the outline tool? it would not let me put a colour around the text? So i saved it and then closed vinylmaster down, reopened it and open the save file and it all came up coloured in?

Hi thanks i got the first bit where it becomes a black flower in the vectorize, when i click accept it appears in the normal page as a outline. I then add a circle and i get a petal shape with a circle over the top? but an outline no colour. How do i colour each different part? I tried sending it to the cutter and it did come up with two different pieces to cut, the petal and the circle but how do i fill them in on the design page? thanks

I have my heart set on buying a Liyu DF631 cutter which has a servo motor, in the UK they are £679.00 Just seen on Ebay a used Smurf HWF 1200 which is second hand for starting bid of £100. The Smurf is a stepper motor and the Liyu is a servo. The Smurf new is £640. Which would you buy? If you had to buy either brand new, which would you choose? Is a servo so much better? I may get the Smurf cheap depends on how the auction goes? Thanks

Hi thanks I saw that but its £100 more than the liyu df631 servo model which is my maximum amount I can spend. Just wondered what the smurf hwf 1200 was like? It's on ebay and a day left and £100 at moment? Just thought it might have been a bargain? I think I'll stick with my original plan of the Liyu df631 with servo thanks

I was looking on ebay and there is a Graphtec FC5100 130 for sale in my town...I asked the seller how old it was and he said he bought it second hand. What years was the model out and is there anyway to tell how old it is? Are they any good? Compared to a Liyu DF 631? If the choice was a new Liyu DF631 (Its the one with a servo motor) or a second hand Graphtec FC5100? Which one would you buy? Thanks

Hi it would just be standard vinyl. The owner has it on ebay and he could not give me a date on how old it was. All he said it had a sticker on it saying it was tested in 2017, which means nothing really. He had it on with a "buy it now" before for £1250 but nobody bought it. It's now on with a starting bid of £200. I suppose I'll never know how its been cared for in its life so would be a gamble. He is selling 2 more different ones and I asked him how much they were and he replied '£2000 and £2500 so it sounds like its been in a vinyl cutting shop. So its either spending £679 on a new Liyu Df with servo and 12 months guarantee or take a punt on a better machine but no come back if it's a dog?

I was looking on the vinylmaster site and a copy of pro was around £359 in the uk. I had a quick look on Ebay and a company is selling a download and serial number for £200. They sell all versions and have great feedback. I messaged the seller and he said he was an official seller and it was all genuine and it was a promotional saving because it was on ebay? Does it sound official to give a £159 saving? Many thanks

If you look at the legal information on their profile it has the future corp head quarters address in Seatle as their details. Also they have been trading on ebay for 14 years? Selling software? I'm sure if they were dodgy ebay would of pulled them? Just received tracking details of the printed card with the serial number on they send to you and its been shipped from Australia?

I think the seller is future corps? It said that on my paypal account? So not sure if its directly from the owners of the software?

Last one on this if you buy 4 copies from the ebay seller it's only £119.00 each. Handy if 4 members wanted to bite the bullet?

So what would happen if you laser printed on vinyl. I also have a black only laser printer. Which is super fast for documents and so cheap to use...in pages per cartridge.
