    Help! new user

I've recently purchased an mh721. I've used up so much vinyl trying to get a simple design cut for a t-shirt transfer and I'm about to give up!! I've watched videos on Youtube and set the machine and blade correctly. I've tried every combination of speed and force that is possible and yet its still not right. I've changed blades and cleaned any residue from the blade. I've changed to different vinyl and the problem still occurs. Can ANYONE help?

Hi Thanks for this. Ive posted the update on the issues. They have sent 2 alternatives as example when i said i wanted an upgrade ( ive put links to them). They originally said the y would send out a new circuit board with instructions on how to fit it. But, I think its best to get a better cutter.

What are we using it for. A few things Merchandise for a band Tshirts, hats, drumskin logs, decals for cars etc Signage for a business. large and smaller lettering for windows, price lists. Large business name signs That sort of thing My other half is interested in doing etchings on glass, so small designs for stencils. What do you think or is there a model that ive not seen that you would recommend

Hi I really appreciate all you help n this guys. Ive had them remotely connect t my laptop and they eventually told me that they thout there was a fault with the usb board. Ive asked to return it but want a better machine. They have suggested the following if you don't mind taking a look at their message below. The sc cutter is £4.11 extra and the TC cutter £165 exra. They have ots of others on their site but im a little worried about what to go for. "For the similar price, I could recommend you to get SC cutter, which you can find bellow:https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vinyl-Cutter-Plotter-Quality-Ukcutter-Liyu-SC631-SC1261-A-AM-Optical-Eye/300840646205?hash=item460b7ff63d:m:mxd4U8xsCXJllEDcUhBu01gOr if you want to get a cutter that would cut small lettering more accurately I can recommend to go with TC cutter:https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vinyl-Cutter-Plotter-Ukcutter-Liyu-TC631-AA-ARMS-Contour-Cut-28-Inch/273220799847?hash=item3f9d3a8d67:m:mxTOmMiZCJVPEDmyfspxDygBoth cutters would work with signcut"

The test cuts are perfect. I've done about 100. They blade cuts the vinyl perfect without any marks on the backing. The test cuts weed easy and sharp. Wheni then do the design it goes silly. This is the Ukcutter Mh721 bought from a legit company with excellent reviews.

Hi Right, let me give you a breakdown of what i did from the starr. First I watched the vids online to make sure i was doing things correctly. my starting point was speed 70 force 120 i made sure the offset was the same as on the blade packaging (0.25) and made sure the baud was correct at 9600. I first adjusted the bade and tested it on the vinyl drawing a circle with a cross in t to see if it was too deep or shallow. I adjusted and repeated until only the to layer was cut and it weeded easily. Then I cut out the logo. I only got one decent logo and the rest went all Pete Tonge on me. So I changed the blade (three came with the machine) and the problem is still the same!!! Ive adjusted the speed from 70 down to 10 and back up to the highest it can do and the work still comes out a mess Today Ive been cutting the vinyl and I can just about see the cut outline of the design. It looks good but cant be weeded , so i adjusted the blade and the force and the same problems occur, Is this ME or the machine? Im here with my head in my hands and a sledge hammer

Lastly, if the design is not copyright protected maybe you can upload the vector design and we can take a peek and make sure there isn't something weird goin on with it. The test cut had rounded corners but didn't look that bad compared to the next picture.

The blade is now about 1/2 mil from the holder? Ive just made an absolute minor adjustment to the blade and it doesn't even mark the vinyl now?

Right. Ive realised that I was given a freebie and was using sign vinyl ( what a tool i am). Ive taken the blade holder out and pressed harder when i tested it, then adjusted it some more and im just doing another cut now to see how it turns out. Fingers crossed
