Personally, I keep back up computers ready to go with all of my files and software loaded.  If something should happen like the light on my laptop screen go out or something else, I can put another computer right in ready to go.  I do run a business, and you should always back up your business as well as keep your files backed up. Not only do I have my files on other computers, I have them on an external hard drive.  I also put them in email drafts, so that I can get them from any computer.  Same with your fonts. If your going to run a business, you have to have it backed up. Actually my cutting computer is a Toshiba laptop with Windows XP.  You don't need a fancy computer to cut vinyl. You can pick them up cheap online.
