Recommended Posts

I have printable vinyl and i am looking for a clear gloss sealant or acrylic that can be sprayed onto the vinyl to seal it from water? i am looking for something that can be used with a spray gun?

uscutter sells a product called clear jet for this purpose but specifies brush or roll on.   I have used a product called frog juice for window perf for years as I did not like the distortion when putting regular laminate over the perf - if you are using an aqueous printable vinyl the failure generally occurs with the material sprayed on the vinyl to allow the aqeous inks to adhere to it.  My late friend Bill Grey did a test with a product called clear shield along with regular laminates on aqueous printed vinyl and found that in a little over a year they almost always failed at that point.
items printed with solvent or latex printers will be good for 4 years with no laminate and 6+ years with laminate - when in a wear area that gets handled a lot always laminate

here is the link.
