jmh1789 0 Posted November 1, 2016 Attached is a picture of the problem I am having. Also attached is a picture of the design I am trying cut. When I set everything up to cut, it will cut about 90% of the design correctly, then all of a sudden it throws a part of the design all out of wack. Sometimes it will even overlap two separate logo that should be about 1/2 inch apart. I don't know if there is a setting I am missing or what. But I have a big order coming up and all of a sudden this things deciding to go funky on me. Please help! Also I should add I have been doing this for a very short period of time and I am self taught so all input is helpful! The picture is the best one I could get also. Thank You! bikemike 711 Posted November 1, 2016 first thought. How many are sending at the same time? second, are you rolling off as much as you need before so the cutter is not pulling off the roll?
jmh1789 0 Posted November 1, 2016 I have 6 logos printing at a time, each measuring around 4x4. Also I have pulled some off the roll, also have let the machine pull it off with no change. I should also state that if I print one at a time it works fine. ALmost like it has something to do with the fact that I'm trying to print six in one print session. jmh1789 0 Posted November 1, 2016 Just tested with just a single logo, and it printed fine. I have to print over 100 of these things and I don't really wanna print one by one...
bikemike 711 Posted November 1, 2016 is it cutting one at a time or jumping all over the place? I found that (Graphtec) if you matrix in the design software it will jump all over. But if you matrix in the cutting end, it will do one at a time. roll enough off the roll that it will never have to pull from the roll.
bikemike 711 Posted November 1, 2016 And before you get the "lecture". you ain't printing nothing. plotter, cutter whatever, but it ain't a printer.
jmh1789 0 Posted November 1, 2016 It jumps all around. Cuts alittle bit here and there of each design. I'm using Vinyl Master Cut 4.0 I'm not to sure what you mean by matrix? Could you explain?
crome 53 Posted November 1, 2016 I think you need to select "preserve cutting order" in VM

jmh1789 0 Posted November 1, 2016 Just tried again. Cut the first 4 perfect, the last two are over lapping each other when there should be 1/2 inch between them.
crome 53 Posted November 1, 2016 when you go to click send file to cutter, you'll see where you can open the vinyl spooler, click on it and then click on settings at the top of the spooler page

bikemike 711 Posted November 2, 2016 Last guess. They are 4x4, and you are cutting 6 at a time. how wide is the vinyl? you cant cut 24 inch on a 24 inch roll.
bikemike 711 Posted November 2, 2016 I am (just guessing) it is trying to tile the cuts.
jmh1789 0 Posted November 2, 2016 Last two still over lapping. Maybe Ill just cut 5 at a time...
jmh1789 0 Posted November 2, 2016 Page Bleed in VM, was set to .500. My understanding is that would mean it would cut .500 of an inch outside of the border? Or does that have nothing to do with my issue.
bikemike 711 Posted November 2, 2016 cut 5, start weeding while the next 5 cut. you will get real good at weeding, trying to keep up.

I guess I want to do six to try and cut down on waste. But if that's what it comes down to, I guess the headache isn't worth it.
bikemike 711 Posted November 2, 2016 6 of them, is 24.24 inches. Drop it down to 5 per row. Give it a shot.
