newtovinyl 1 Posted June 16, 2016 I am trying to cut the paper we used to use in school to make signs. The thin stuff on the big rolls.......... I can get it to cut but when it rolls back and forth in my cutter it starts bunching up. What should by settings be??
Command 97 Posted June 16, 2016 You may need to cut a sheet off of the roll, which will help with the bunching. Make sure you arent cutting your cutting strip and that there is something beneath the paper like a carrier.
Go-C Graphics 856 Posted June 16, 2016 Your cutter isn't designed to cut paper like that. Matter of fact you're ruining your cutting strip on you plotter. This is going to cause you alot of headaches in the future when you want to cut vinyl. There's no way you'll be able to cut paper without a carrier sheet. I would google plotter carrier sheet or cricket carrier sheet and you'll find a ton of information on how to use one.
