Wet Install 641.

Recommended Posts

When you do a wet install, it's ordinarily on a non-porous surface like glass or automotive paint, so there is unlikely to be any moisture trapped underneath the vinyl if you squeegee it properly.

If you wet apply on top of painted plaster or wood, some of the moisture will be absorbed and may cause bubbles or even total loss of adhesion after installation.

Also, the type of adhesive used on some indoor vinyls is water based, while the adhesive used on outdoor vinyls is not - I have no idea what a wet install might do to the adhesive itself...

If you try it, please let us know how it works!
