Imlost21 1 Posted July 18, 2012 I bought an older mutoh printer and it has a print server connection. I have been trying to install, but cannot find the right combination for the tcp/ip address for it. I do have my computer somewhat finding it but the printer now says {change} port 1, I am at all savy to networking. Is there anyine out there that is familiar with print servers? thank you soo much. bayotle 26 Posted August 7, 2012 The IP address needs to be on the same network as your computer. Most use a class c subnet (255.255.255.0) the 3-255's indicate the network ID if you have an ip address of 192.168.1.100, your network is 192.168.1.0 You also need to make sure it's a unique number, so if you have 192.168.1.100, make sure the printer is something like 192.168.1.200 phone, gotta run but that might help a bit...
Dr12volt1338 116 Posted August 7, 2012 Do you have the printer hooked up to your router? Can you provide some more info? Operating system connection type to your router router make and model....... The best thing to do is google search how to set up a network printer with your particular router....
