bethj95 0 Posted June 13, 2012 so i am thinking about buying the Epson WF-7010 with pigment ink for doing t-shirts and stickers the only thing i am really confused on is the contour cutting......so i get the printer and print these great stickers i have an older plotter that does not have a laser so what do people do?? upgrading is not really an option right now as far as my plotter goes..... thanks
MZ SKEETER 4,709 Posted June 13, 2012 Flexistarter10 /with contour cutting,,, has contour cutting for almost any vinyl cutter. You don't use a laser, The distance is measured from the blade in the cutting software, jogged to the middle of each registration mark. The software records the settings. . Can be had for about $129.00 or less on the BIG auction site.
Jay2703 704 Posted June 13, 2012 All the laser does is help align the blade to the registration mark the same way that Skeeter said that Flexistarter does. The only thing automated about it is calculating the distance from the laser to the blade tip. You still need to jog it manually.
