Copam Vinyl Cutter Question - Registration Referencing

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys

Don't know if anyone can help - (noobie alert)

Looking to print out images on an inkjet onto vinyl - then coat with an over-laminate for protection.

I need to cut out the image to a preset shape, based on a dxf file for a manufacturing project - a kind of overlay image.

Q - can the Copam vinyl cutters do this - I notice that there isn't a laser eye, or anything similar to the Roland Versacamm system - but if there is a manual alignment process then that might fit the bill for me

Most important thing is to be able to overlay the dxf file onto the sheet image and then cut the final vinyl based on the dxf/art combo

Thanks in advance

Jeff

You'd probably want a laserpoint for this.  It's got the ability to line up on the registration marks with the laser.

The copam doesn't have a laser so it can't do the registration alignment like the laserpoint can.

Craft robo, CE5000 or GX-24 (Roland) can do it automatically.
