Hello again I haven't been on in a while and I'm not sure you remember me or not. I am in a MAJOR pickle. My MH's usb port on my machine has failed, my research before I purchased noted this problem, and it's happened now....with a Friday deadline that is a week early. I'm stressing! What exactly can I do to get this fixed ASAP? Tech support is closed. I was on the phone with them earlier discussing converting my 300v cord to USB. Thought I got lucky and could buy it a radioshack or best buy. NOPE! I can't find one anywhere local!!!! Agh! What would you suggest? I value all the help you have given me in the past. Thanks ahead of time. Emily

How much was your bid if you don't mind me asking? It's a learning curve here. To by a whole sheet would be my whole profit pretty much. Might as well not do it. At least the custom cut pieces are easy to explain. Can I get the translucent vinyl by the foot here? I looked quickly but only saw by the yard.

It's 1/4 inch acrylic

I didn't know about the translucent vinyl. Well shyt! I'm glad I asked! The acrylic is 60 bucks a piece custom cut. I think I'm going to just have a guy I know from a sign shop do it thought it was a good job to take to pay my bills. Sad face!

That doesn't help! Haha. I quoted 425. Is that too high?

Spunky.Fresh.Designs started following I'm about to throw my machine out of the window, Image Trace in cs6 vs???, Pricing Help? and and 1 other
-
So I use Creative suite CS6 and I use the image trace in illustrator to trace images in order to get the vectored images I need. I have been soooo disappointed. So I've done some research and found that CS6, primarily, was one of those times that a company tries to "fix" something that isn't broken. and that CS5 is actually better for image trace. Lucky me. Are you guys having this same issue? are the traces jagged and awful like mine? Is there another software, hopefully free, that may perform the same task so I don't have to go and find a completely different creative suite? I like CS6s updates for alot of other tools but this one was a crappy "fix". thanks a bunch!

Hello Everyone! I hope all of you are well and happy in the new year! So I have had a job land in my lap and I have no idea where to start with pricing. I hope someone can help. I'm going to be changing out the light up directory sign board for a shopping plaza. Just for one company. It's two sides @ about 74" x 10" give or take, I don't have the dimensions on hand. I figured out how to disassemble the structure in order to slide the acrylic in and out and have found that the acrylic isn't repairable. So I need to have acrylic custom cut. The sign is going to have a two color vinyl application on the new material with installation. So what do I charge? I would love love love love the advice. Thanks

I'm looking for the same vinyl. I need transparent vinyl that reacts to a blacklight? This thread went a little off topic and lost me. Does anyone know if this exists? I can't use neon unfortunately. Thanks a lot, Emily

Is frosted vinyl more difficult to cut?
-
What exactly is punched vinyl? I'm looking to buy my first frost vinyl and I need to know what that means and I was also curious about any tips on cutting vs. standard vinyl. Thanks

I have the sc. I called UScutter and they told me to put the pressure at 100 with speed of 500. Should I just use the 60 for everything? are the blades that came with the machine even any good? -

I've been cutting okay. Must be an adhesive thing. Can you please tell me the difference with the 40 and 60 blades. is there one I should be using over the other? Someone mentioned lubing up the blade with WD40. would you recommend that? I have a stepper motor...is that the reason it just won't cut a sharp angle? -

Ive read other posts but I just can't figure out why my machine is lifting edges. I'm pretty sure my blade is calibrated right. IM ABOUT TO EXPLODE! -
