I have this same intermittent issue with Corel to Signcut. Still haven't figured out what causes it. The work around I use is to break everything apart in Corel then open in Signcut. The centers of certain letters (O's, D's, B's, etc.) wlll appear filled in, but it still cuts normal. You can view it in wireframe mode after breaking it apart to verify the centers are still there.

To change the default font: - Choose pick tool - With nothing selected on the page, go to "text properties" docker and choose the font you'd like for your default from the drop-down menu - A small window named "change document defaults" will open - choose "Artistic text" (and any others you wish to change) - Click ok and your done To make a font change without changing the Arial Default: - Choose Artistic Text icon (letter "A" in the toolbar on the left) - Click the page so the flashing cursor appears - Choose your font from the drop-down at the top or the text properties docker - DO NOT click work space, just start typing and it will be the font you selected --------or------- - Type your word(s) out using the default Arial - Then double click everything you'd like to change or hold left click and drag over everything (while still having the Artistic text tool icon selected) - This will highlight your selections in blue - Go to the font drop-down again and choose the font you'd like. Then click off the text to remove the blue highlight once you are done.

Need help with photoshop image for vinyl cutting
JP Auto N Design replied to jfoerch's topic in Inkscape
For cutting, i always saved inkscape vectors as an .eps file. Just be sure to remove the original .bmp ,.jpg (or whatever file) you used for the auto-trace because the traced vector will be created right on top of it, which may be part of the problem your having. -
This may be a suitable free option. http://www.dafont.com/search.php?q=not+just+groovy&text=SMOOTH Stretched with some minor editing to the top of the "M"

Random lines cut when cutting and support has no clue...
JP Auto N Design replied to coreycss21's topic in Criticism and Complaints about USCutter
This might be a long shot but check the graphic that you're trying to cut, in wireframe mode. Just to be sure there aren't any stray nodes. -

Im using X6 -Make your circle and heart -Duplicate the heart -Select Blend, then drag the line from the first heart to the duplicated heart -With only the hearts selected, go to Path properties icon @ the top and choose new path -your cursor will change to a curved arrow, click on your circle with that arrow. The hearts will now be on the circle. -Now click the More Blend options icon at the top and choose Blend along full path. -Then adjust the spacing to your liking with the Blend Steps box. Note: I only started using Corel this week. So if there's a quicker way, i don't know it yet.

I was thinking about purchasing Corel software on USCutter's website but after doing some research, it seems that some OEM versions have disabled features, such as VBA's for plug-in's and aren't upgradable. I'm just curious if anyone knows whether or not that's the case with theirs since it doesn't really specify. Thanks for any help on this.
-
That's what i thought as well, but the person in the link i posted said he was using Corel X4 academic, which functioned exactly the same as the full version. I didn't mean to get sidetracked off my original question. I'm just trying to figure out what is (or isn't, at this point) disabled in the OEM...Seems the only way to truly know is take my chances and buy it...since i keep finding mixed results.
-
Yea, i wouldn't be too happy either. I guess that's why i tend to research things till my head throbs...esp. on something i've never used. But the more i look into it, the more confused i become. Take this thread for instance http://forum.uscutter.com/index.php?/topic/32233-best-place-to-buy-corel-draw-x5-or-adobe-illustrator/?hl=%2Bcorel+%2Band+%2Bcut+%2Bmaster+%2Bplug+%2Bin#entry251265 i always thought VBAs/plug-ins were disabled in all academic versions. Id sooner save the almost 200 bucks by purchasing the X6 OEM version on UScutter...if all the features were enabled.
-
Thanks for verifying, Knucklehead. I was just a bit confused after reading on the Corel community that only some OEM versions have those things disabled, so i wasn't sure if UScutter's was the exception. Especially since the odds of their customers needing those features would seem to be higher, considering they offer it as optional software with the graphtec (eg. corel/cutting master combo). Just seems like it would create a lot of headaches offering a disabled version, so i'm glad i asked . I was actually interested in the x6 version.

Guess i'll throw this one into the mix. http://www.dafont.com/nfl-redzone.font?text=z28 Primarily for the "28", unless you wanna mess with the Z as well.

Sure. Now, these are close but you may have to tweak them a bit since your pics were at an angle. You're also going to have to size them accordingly. I just made them for your pic, i never used them on a car. Also, i didn't punch the text thru. i figured it would be better for you to do once you get the stripe sized. mustang.eps
