  1. There's probably a simple way to do this, but I can't figure it out. If I cut a design that only takes up a few inches of vinyl, how can I cut something else afterwards immediately to the side. Let's say this is my design: The Cutter screen looks like this: I cut the circle and rectangle. Now, I decide I want to cut something to the right of this, so I add the following: And I delete the first designs: I get this: I really need that "ABC" to be over about 8 inches, otherwise it'll cut my circle and rectangle. And I get the same thing if I leave the rectangle and circle, select the "ABC" and then click the "selected only" checkbox on the Cutter screen. Any idea how I can accomplish what I trying to do? Thanks
  2. FYI... I received the part yesterday and installed it. Everything is working fine now. Thank you.
  3. Thanks for the tips... When I power on my cutter, it's at 48 ips and 100 g. I can change the Force, but I cannot change the Speed. If I press the up arrow(V+) nothing happens(it's already at 48). If I press the down arrow(V-) it increases the Force, not the Speed. The left and right arrows(F+ and F-) increase and decrease the Force. So basically, my cutter boots up at the max Speed setting of 48 ips and, using the arrows on the panel, I cannot lower the Speed. What now?
  4. I have two issues with my cutter and am hoping someone here can help. 1) Today, when loading up the roll of white vinyl that came with the cutter, I accidently pressed the arrow buttons on the panel. This changed the Speed and Force values displayed on the panel. I don't know what these are supposed to be set to. But, I think I found a problem. Pressing the left and right arrows changes the Force, but only the up arrow changes the Speed. The down arrow also changes the Force. How am I supposed to reduce the Speed value? (To reiterate: Both the F+ and V- buttons increase the Force. I think the V- button is messed up since it's supposed to affect the Speed, but doesn't.) 2) This may be related to the values above, but when I cut the vinyl, in some spots it almost goes all the way through the paper, but yet doesn't even cut the first layer in other spots. In other words, if I print just one letter, say one inch tall... I can clearly see the impression from the back of the vinyl, but it's very difficult to remove the vinyl 'cause it's still uncut in some places. It's like not using the same force throughout the entire cut or something. Anyway, any help that anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks...

Ah.Is this a setting on the plotter or in your software? (I guess really should read the manual. ) Also, do you still have it set to .010 even when using a thick sharpie? Thanks...

    Metric ?

Is there anyway to get Artcut to display inches rather than millimeters? I cut something way too big 'cause I selected "A1 (594mm x 841mm)" as the paper size, thinking it meant standard A1 paper(8.5"x11") and just eyeballing it on the screen. I was way wrong. Also, what's the recommended size to use? I know it probably depends on what the output is intended to be, but I'm just wondering what most people use. Thanks...

Billy, I saw the pics on your website... Awesome work! I'm curious to know how you do this. I can't understand how to get the plotter to color without overlapping unnecessarily. I mean... say you are filling in a solid area. A pen with a thinner point is going to require more passes than a thick sharpie. How do you do this? And btw, what software are you using to design the images you are printing? Thanks...
