Some more for the flea market

VECTOR victor! That SCAL is the cats butt and I am scronging dimes and pennies to get me another LP II, as I used to hear it on TV" Simply Marvelous"...Some cuts are a real task to weed but no pain-no gain...I am giving my wife the R-31's they are TI-99-4A 's compared to a REAL IBM for the cost mind you...I am beside myself when it comes to the LP II and the s/ware, I still use Corel(not as much) and CS2-3 butI wished someone had a Dummy book on SCAL or a cheat-sheet cause whoever puts it out will have hot dogs for along time, not a best seller but for those who use it might pay homage to it....My BIG volks is nothing like the smaller one, alot more detain so it will take me more than 15mins to weed it but it will look good....If you cant tell I LOVE this stuff or until I get bored with simple designs and find something to tax the brain....

I too looked t the site and placed my info so like you will comment as upon getting whatever they should send..Been looking at US Cutters package effort on Heat Trans Vinyl to keep an open mind.
  5. Off work early and wanted to task the LP II on some Oracal 631...The skull was easy to weed but the "gun" was abit more teadious and took a steady hand...Other than that I hope to practice on a sign test with several colors this weekend...

Thanks..Multi color sign tests are my next agenda as I am novice-brained on this..Photoshop layers are one thing versus hard-copy to vinyl..Thanks again..

    Holographic Rainbow material

FoxFire Distributing in Pensacole Fla. I bought 1 silver and 1 gold version of Holographic Rainbow Vinyl...I weeds quite nicely, cutting was not an issue..But till I see it on a surface only 1/2 of the test is begun and unfinished...

    Neo Chrome Vinyl?

Yep, I approve the cost and I like the material and lastly I find it can enhance or spruce up a back window or whatever else I can stick-it-to... I did the eagle lst nite and tonite I am cutting some skulls and god knows what else..Gonna hit the flea market next weekend in Lake charles as I want to get my "name" out there and let some of my work be seen and hopefully be sold...But..All might look nice cut and such but I want to see my work on something other than my work table and out-put shelf...Like many of my past attemps it all comes down to 1 thing: Is it worth the time and headache and is one willing to go the distance because I am AWARE it is not what I like but what the (hopefully) paying public want and willing to pay for this product and again hoping that they approve and with WORD-OF-MOUTH where it might lead to THEM paying the cost of my future materials and becoming an overnite sensation, getting rich, owning my own Island and running buck-wild with native women....NOT....Waking up from that dream I am deligent and patient as I am certain that I can cull some of the market in that area and towards downtown Texas...Thanks for lookin and commenting...I appreciate the comments and I do what I enjoy doing because my DAD pushed me to Learn and get better at it

    Neo Chrome Vinyl?

Ok, I did up a eagle cut..It cut fine, used 60g as pressure and 700MM as speed, on this LP II, now I am still learn'in as I go so if I say somethin wrong-correct me..I cut it, it was slow and methodic, I took about 30 mins to weed as I took my time...Me and my Nikon dont get along sometimes...Dam DSLR can be a pain...The other shot is somethin I did for my dad who passed feb 14th 2 yrs ago and sent it home to be put on my moms car..

    Punched Vinyl

Something struck me today and had to ask as I have a idea on something, anyway how many of yall use PUNCHED vinyl for cuttings and such? I mean is it any different other than the fact it is punched on the sides like tractor fed paper use to be..I wanna see what I am thinking is a workable idea and if so I will share it with yall, thats of course if yall are interested... Yes, I still take med's for the steel plate in my forehead.
  17. My roller question is that when I am trial and error with this new machine LP II I am getting roller "dents" as it feeds the vinyl being cut, I can see the brass retainer nuts holding the retainer springs which give it the "fit" to feed as roller and roller grips move the vinyl, I had this issue with my R-31's and adjusted and adjusted till I had no more adjusment to adjust and have to live with it..Any suggestions on this trail of roller pressure and how to eliminate some or all with out going through adjusment fatique...Thanks...

    Hi and hello

Guess I will begin by saying that I have oh under a yr experience under my belt, got involved in vinyl to "promote" my designs and get my work seen out there in the real world...Own 2-R31's and got my first LP II yesterday, finished mounting the monkey today and did a test run, not hard to figure out, will go full tilt this weekend (I hope)...Love using Illustrator and Corel and Photoshop as a cleaning agent when needed..But I am sure I can pickup up some usefull tack knowledge from some of you "old hands"...Soon as the weather decides to make up its mind what it is doing I am moving all my equipment in the garage as have turned it into a comfy work area so if interested I will shot some pics and post them....My daytime job takes alot of my time fix'in POS systems and Card Readers...Any how, look forward to exchanging recipes and chatting when time allows..Look at ya later..

Any Advice Welcomed - Laserpoint ll vs SC series

I own 2 R31 cutters and have no problems with them and they have cut up to 23-24in which of course thats close t their limit BUT I just got the LP II unit and truthfully I have only been making test runs as I work daily so time is only avail on weekends right now, anyway, once I had the stand built, mounted the cutter, configed my USB driver, configed the usb port, then load software I went to test runs, small run on simple words on scrap vinyl, depending on if you use/have any of the what I call highend Graphic s/ware as Adobe or Corel these come in handy along with the s/ware provided with the LP II called Sure-Cuts-Alot which I will be teaching my self as my R-31 came with LXi which I upgraded to Master, anyway I think the investment of 499.00 was and is well worth the money in the long run as one can invest for a Graphtec and you do get what you pay for with those highend machines but for what you stated you were going to do I am basing on MY THINKING so dont take it as gospel but mid-range machines will get someone started and after some time you will know if this "interest" will need to progress to a higher stage...Right now I am happy with the LP II and plan to dwell into it while till using my R-31's BTW I paid 299.00 for each R-31 and they came with material and starter software and it didnt take long to get hooked on designing once I got the jest of what and how BUT I again am still teaching myself when I can squeez in time after work.. Again this is ONLY my input and not gospel...Have a good one and hope you find what you are looking for..

    Hi and hello

My apologize for not adding my point of origin..At present I am between Tifton Ga. and Lafayette La.. I am taking care of my mother since dad past so I have my hands full....So I travel back and forth every other week...Rental car's are killing me BUT gotta do what I have to do...I am pleased so far with my NEW toy, I was looking for a User manual for the S/ware outside of the box so to speak as I have a few new things to learn about this device LP II, BUT it does work as I was only trying "test" runs but It be what they said it was....Got 1 question PLEASE and if I say it wrong please dont slap me...There is a SCALE POSTER i spotted in the other forums and tried to print on my HP and Epson so what scale factor should I use as I didnt catch that in the description or is it a "cutable" file for 1 or my cutters so one would make a sign from it? Again dont slap me..
  21. I am new here so I will be nice...I recieved my purchase from US CUTTER today of a LP II and stand along with ext. warranty....I have been looking at the LP II for several weeks and debated between US CUTTER and GCC...Again I have read and re-read the ad page for the LP II and again today in hopes I would see some explanation about the stand or some info period....Now so I wont come off as a novice I already own a R31 bought from signwarehouse and honestly it has worked since the first day so I am fairly versed on useage of a cutter to a degree BUT thats not what I am asking NOW...My R31 came with a stand and after assy it I placed the cutter on it and all 4 rubber stand off's slipped right into pre des. holes in stand...This LP II has NO pre des. holes, in fact it sits on each side of stand on its rubber stand off's with NO way to be assured if I or anyone were to bump either corner of cutter running or not will find it laying on the ground.. Is this a normal thing? I mean have any of ya'll who might own or bought one of these units with stand get this stand without a method to reenforce the cutter onto the stand? I have not fired the LP II up yet as I wanted to have it stable and not feel threatened that anything other than a babys touch be the safest so as to not tump it over.. Yes, I emailed Support if that is the way...NOT being judgemental but the stand was scratched in more than half dozen places but scratches DONT make it perform so I might be able to over look that. BUT not having a way to have a stable unit as just sitting on all four rubber stand offs is NOT good if running this unit...Am I reading into this? Most of my purchases from US Cutter has been stock material so this is my first serious purchase...

    LP II and The Stand

Thank you.. I just got a email from support and was told something simular but figured it out as well. I would have done that or drilled mounting holes myself so the rubber standoffs would slip into the base plate of mounting of stand top.. again thank you..I hope this is the only thing I have to worry about it.. I am after work will fire the monkey up and see what it can do...
