Always charge setup, or people will start abusing and making change after change. Or state that minor changes are free but after 1 change you will be charged a one time fee. This way they see it at the beginning and cant argue about it. I agree.....you can just keep going for free...... I tell them I know there time is valuable......... and so is mind.........being a good guy is ok but it won't pay the bills.......

I look at everything.......a MH-721 349.00 + shipping 9.99 now........you still need vinyl, and premask.....at least to make anything.......lol nothing is cheap as it seems.....

Oh........2 sets of Ink is 16 cartridges ....Load them as you need em'

Sorry........been very busy......when I got mine it was 499.00 plus extra ink (2 sets) 129.00 each and roll of avery 36" matte vinyl and a case of frog juice....(56.00) so it was almost a grand........but you can if you want @399.00 get started for that.....but you will need vinyl and a overlayment of some kind......UV Vinyl will work just fine.......whatever you like.......Oh I cut my 36" vinyl in 13" x 36" strips and if I need 44" then I cut it the long way to 13" x 44" then you can use smaller pieces for small decals..........I have very little waste so your right you can start for only 399.00 I guess.......all in how you look at it........I just added it all up as startup.......

have an epson 4800 running the factory k3 ultrachrome inks, use inkjet technologies matte printable vinyl and then laminte by hand using the big squeegee and cheap oracal 200 laminate. cost per square foot is high, but works fine indoors and out. ive had some on racecars for up to a year and they still look fine. i wouldnt do anything major with it, but it works when you need something fast and dont have access to a solvent system and cut wont work. I use a Epson R-1900 factory ultrachrome k2 Ink not for doing wraps.......but works very good for alot of spot graphics.......I frog juice it 3 coats.........dry between coats. and print on Avery Inkjet vinyl for pigment ink only.......has a special coating for pigment ink.......do not use dye base on this........as it won't hold up very long....

you can also cut a stencil mask and apply, then first spray with frog juice, let dry and then use your color.........don't bleed and sticks good........and for just one time its just as easy.......

I never tried Stanlless but I would think good stainless would be hard to blast....... maybe a frosted look at best

I like the 1900 but the true test is with the Ink you use... Your right........and even One Shot lettering paint (Heavy Pigment) will fade in 3-4 years........and you may want to look at 3-4 year old vinyl.....may be surprised.... I have had best fade hole out with Oracal but I use avery and universal and it all fades here in Florida.....

I have a nice Omega 60 cuts nice and runs quite.........been in this business since before computers.....I have had a Roland 1050 (was a workhorse) in its day had a Roland 1100 24" Nice and like I say my Omega 60.......Last Oct I was looking to replace my 15" with a 24".......I asked Banner John about the MH-721...he said his worked fine...so trusting him I bought one.......and yep its been fine.......I see alot of people here have trouble.......But to let you know I use mine to cut all day long 4 days a week .........cuts great from Flexi-Pro and Signlab.....so I think most are having problems more with vista and usb port and software.....use com port and a good sign software program........Ya gotta spend on more than a cutter...if you want to do quality work.......I learned along time ago ya have to spend to make..... got to have the right equipment......I run 5 design stations and a R-1900 printer and cut more to my MH-721 than I do the Omega.... except runs over 6' then I use the Omega.......and thats because the MH-721 is desk top mounted....not on the stand...
