I use 651 for my etching. As long as you don't go overboard(deep etches) it works fine. I picked up some etching stuff from these guys... cant even cut the stuff with my machine. Waste of money

Hey guys. This is the 2nd time iv run across this in a few weeks time. 1st time I thought it was a fluke and moved on. When I save my vector in Inkscape as a .eps it appears to save fine. When I open it in Signblazer part of the image is cut off. This one below happens to be the right side, the first time it cut off the bottom half of the image. If I copy/paste the screwed up part in Inkscape, into a new doc and save as .eps. It opens correctly in Signblazer. If I copy/paste the entire vector into a new Inkscape doc... same thing. What am I missing here? I checked all the doc sizes and such that I could. I attached the svg and eps if anyone needs to see. Is there maybe a better method of getting files from Inkscape to SB? trd-sport.eps trd-sport.svg

Replying to this old post... issue is from groups in inkscape. Figured it out when testing files using .ps instead. Clear all groups; no problem

Put this together.... used the L + H / 2 method. Added 1% per complexity and 60% per additional color on multi-layer stickers. How does this compare to everyone elses calculations? Looks pretty close to the online RTA calc + my +$2.50 per stickers under 10" Vinyl Calc.zip

Thanks. What is the vinyl required sq" field for?
-
Added a field for a discount by %(Attached). Thanks Thanks for the replies everyone. Vinyl Calc.zip

So I made this because there wasnt much available out there, to help myself and others with the same questions. And all I get back are a bunch of smartass comments. Thanks guys...

Hey guys. Id like to get your inputs on the two brands offered here, both calendared. I have personally used both and like subtle differences between them. Im about to order some rolls to get my stock up and im stuck between the brands. Greenstar - Thicker, decent to weed(glue sometimes holds pieces together), two stickers out of 20 some came off in the ice. $5 cheaper for 10 yards. Works great for etching(Thickness, stickiness). Already have two big rolls of white/matte black... Seems to stretch/flex better. Can easily get 12x5 yard off color pieces. Oracle(651) - Thinner, easier to weed. Didnt come off in the ice. $5 more, Sucks for etching, only have small pieces left <3 yards. Cant get it in less than 10 yards from this site The ice thing may have been the way it was installed, but if im selling this stuff id rather not have to replace a logo because it peeled off from some ice. Any inputs from more experienced persons? I cant tell, but it one tackier than the other?

Thanks guys.... looks like ill start picking up some Oracle

Sorry I meant 651... fat fingers

Hah. Who knows whats going on... I got the same exact problem from two different computers. Thanks for your time/help everyone. Looks to be a stupid bug
-
It opened fine. What did you do?
-
Im leaning towards another problem now. Opened the svg in AI and saved as an Illistrator 8 eps(Newest SB would open without blank screen). Got this in SB
-
That is weird!! How did you import to SB? eps file? I tried .ps as well, same results
-
Thats good to know... ill give that a try and see what happens It dosnt appear to be there at all

Nice work!

My first two cuts. After much battling with the usb port and random errors plotting. The robot(Bender) is 6" tall, the metallica star almost got eaten cause some idiot cut the vinyl too narrow
-
Plotted the red/white for this cornhole set a bud did for his father. Supposed to be the cuban flags. He's going to coat them in lacquer

What you see above was all done in the TSC cabinet. I went with their's because of the light. Rest of the stuff between the two really didnt matter to me. Here's the media: http://www.harborfreight.com/44-lbs-black-aluminum-oxide-abrasive-70-grit-99945.html

Figured id share some stuff im working on, and have done so far. These first 4 are a Christmas gift for my mom. They took forever to setup... Cant wait to blast the 3 I have left.
-
Thanks guys. I have a TSC blasting cabinet so it makes the blasting part easy as pie
-
Few more gifts by request

Im using Greenstar vinyl. I tried some Oracle and it sucked, kept pulling up while I was blasting. I have some 80? grit black aluminium oxide I picked up from Harbor Freight. Running about 50psi
