It works in SBE also. I have had a couple occasions that I could not get it to recognize the that I had text but, most of the time it works pretty good. Better than eyeballing it.

Thank you, that will keep me from some of the vinyl that I've damaged. Also, I never noticed "Best Tracking" until Cutter mentioned today. I should have checked around for popular setting when I started. Only thing I changed in cutter setup was model, blade offset, and vinyl size. I was about ready to quit doing large lettering (like 10" & 17" yesterday) because I reduced to single or 2 letters to keep from damaging much vinyl "when" error occurs. I think with these settings I can streech out a little more without much risk. Thanks Regis

Thanks Cutter, I guess I just moved my post to PM to you while you were answering. Makes very good sense about the holes. Even without that, doesn't it cut a line all around the outside of your sign first? I started limiting my cuts to 3 feet because of tracking and hopefully, I can increase with the Best Tracking checked like you have. Regis

That is your workspace setup and NOT your cuting set up. From you workspace, go to Cutter. Then look for Setup. There are 2 setups, here, one for cutter and one for print so be sure you pick the one for the cutter. It is where you can set your blade offset.

Also, if you have not cut an 8 foot lenth before, you need to check your tracking. Put offline and run 8 foot forward and then back watching how it tracks. I don't even try to cut over 3 foot anymore because it is soo hard to keep tracking true (and I messed up too much vinyl trying).

In your Cut Setup screen, set your vinyl size to 24" wide and at least 96" long. Be sure your settings are in inches and not millimeters. Regis

What size is your sign and what size is your vinyl (and vinyl setting)?

Good looking signs and nice to see one with a little creativity. I've been making a some with pretty boring looking real estate logos. Your design could also make a neat & matching business card for them.

Well, "Thank You" for your post. On one hand it is sad that reminders are needed for common courtesy. On the other hand if someone doesn't step up, some folk will never learn to be a helpful part of society. Thanks, Regis

Yep, all the way over in Pensacola. Now that it has started moving, I hope it sppeds up and goes quickley by both of us. Didn't know that you could give horses tranquilizers for a storm. Be carful. Folks up in the Carolinas and north Georgia need rain but, it looks like it will head across the norhtern gulf. Regis

I've been checking to see if she logged in. They are definately are getting inundated with rain down there. Fay is supposed to head this way ,,,,when it finally moves

Business Magnets, Easy, Fast, and $75 a pop (set)
RegisG replied to d3c3pti0n5's topic in Show your work
B U T, don't sell magnet to someone with Saturn. Just got a rear window decal order from a lady that bought 2 magnetic signs (from another signmaker). They don't stick to plastic or aluminum doors! I make them too and "wish" I could get 75 bucks....not a chance in my market. ( 2 yesterday and 2 today). -
Outbreak, Welcome and thank you for serving.

another Ebay screw
RegisG replied to BannerJohn's topic in Business Practices, Sales and Pricing, etc.
I've said "Postal Money Order or PayPal only" for a few years now and ebay never pulled one of my listings. One very good thing about ebay is that if, for any reason, you don't like it, just don't use it. I've gotten aggravated a couple times and stopped selling then had something that would do well on ebay so I started again. I guess if I owned it, then it would run perfect.....but, then again I don't want all that income [lol]. Regis -
Anyone know if & how grid color can be changed in SBE? Thanks Regis

"Somewhere" in past years I saw a chart about what letter sizes should used be for clear reading at different distances. For example if a sign is going to be read from sidewalk it shhould be 4"(?) tall but, if from 50 feet, it needs to be 8"(?) tall. Or 50 yards needs to be 12"(?) tall. Does anyone know whaere I could find a chart like this or some formula to properly set sizes? Thanks, Regis

accepting payments with credit cards (not paypal)
RegisG replied to gm2k8's topic in Business Practices, Sales and Pricing, etc.
Looks like paypal charges $30/month plus varying transaction fees. That $30 per month seems pretty high compared to the calls and sales papers I've been getting. Lowest I've heard is $9/month after I buy $200 cc unit. I'm not yet ready to take cards but, keep thinking about it, tooo. -
Anyone hear from Grace?

I bought some of the laser printable decal sheets via ebay. Was a very very slow shipper but, the product works great. I was able to scan a friend's old tractor decal, clean it up and print one that looks like new. Because it will be outdoor some, I'm covering with 651 clear. I'm happy with it for small items (less than 8" X 11")and will just try to find a better source. Regis
