  1. Ken, thanks very much, it was the power supply. Now that I have a "working" power supply the machine puurrrs....... I can now tell you that it was bad from the start because the fan motor sounded like it was always struggling but i thought maybe it was supposed to... it works smooth and fast now... Thanks again, Ron
  2. Hi All, I am still trying to get my machine going.. read a lot about the connection problems with the motherboard but don't know the proper path to get to it.. is there an instruction page on how to check it ? Haven't heard from Ken on my problem yet but assume he is busy and my turn will come, I just hope it is not something stupid that i am overlooking. Ron
  3. Hey Ken, need a little help, just bought this this month, its a 24 laserpoint/stand model and it has been working fine. I am about to make an 8' sign and simply turned it on. it came on , cycled, i put it off line, ran some vinyl through for length and all of a sudden the fan motor started skipping, starting , stopping , starting, etc. and the screen on the cutter went blank and won't come on. i have unplugged it, taken everything off the plug except it. still sputters like an old car trying to crank.? I am semi-mechanically inclined, so if there is something that i can do let me know. It is under warranty so i don't want to go tinkering around and mess up my warranty unless you tell me too. Up till now it has been great. I have never used a vinyl cutter before but do a lot of printing with dyesub, corel draw, etc. so I am basically knowledgeable about what should happen. I was not trying to cut yet when this happened, just getting some vinyl ready... thanks, ron
  4. I JUST NOTICED THAT ON THE CUTTER IN OF LINE THE X VALUE IS 25500 AND THE Y IS 25856, WHAT IS THE NORMAL FOR THOSE ?
  5. Thanks, but nope, no matter where i set it to, when i hit the cut button it reacts quickly but goes all the way to the left like it's headed back to china....

    pcut 630 cant find home

I just posted a similar question. only mine runs to the left until it hits the red button. i'm sure it is something in sb, but when you are new , it is like finding a needle in that haystack. don't know what to look for nor where ? this sign outline on mine is about a quarter inch past zero but i can't find out how to move it yet.. i'll keep watching and trying..
  7. I've hesitated for 3 days now to ask a dumb question, but I guess it's not dumb if i don't know. lol I'm new to vinyl cutting , not to computors. I've read, tried everything, and i am missing something.. when i send a cut to the cutter it responds but goes all the way to the left and hits the red kill button, so everything locks up and stops. all i notice that i can't seem to change is the red rectangle sign outline on my screen in sb is about a 1/4" to the left of zero. so, i tried to move it. i tried to change the "home" starting spot and it seemed to do it but still runs to the left all the way. it is trying to load like i would assume it should . It is new out of the box and i love it . it just doesn't like something i'm doing or not doing to it right now. sort of like my wife........lol i think it will be something one of you would probably laugh at but i'm stuck and would appreciate a little help . thanks
