TSR6

My PCUT 36" cuts deeper towards the center of the cutter. I cut 30" race car numbers, and it cuts fine around the edges, but just a touch deeper in the middle - cutting through the backing paper too. What do I need to do?

I'm not in front of it - wont be for 24-hours. What is the cutting strip?

So I just found out that signblazer is defunct, and I need to move it to a working computer to letter our 3 race cars - by friday! I know someone on here had a "fix" they were PMing people a while back. If that kind person could Private Message me, that would be fantastic!!! Thanks!

PS: I do have a disk, I have paid for this with my Pcut - I just need it on a different computer.

I am working on my own race car number, and have both an outline around the number, and then a drop shadow all created in signblazer. The problem I am having is that the cutter will cut the outline & the shadow as two sepperate entities, when I really just want it to cut the entire black layer as one item. How do I go about doing this in signblazer?

I have: NES, N64, PS2, XBOX360 Blow, put in, push to the left - power on!

Not really i have 12v fans in the rear and a third little fan inside it should be good. #1 went toast in the internet card somewhere. Screen would go purple trying to get to LIVE #2 went RROD #3 is starting to get Unreadable Disk errors if I try to play a game after watching a movie ( but it hasn't TKO'ed JUST YET!! )

Todd - Thanks!! That worked. I'll have to try your process on my file. I hate doing that though - there's gotta be an "easier" way than to move the numbers out of the shadow & outline... I'll post pictures once I get the car vinyled. It'll be within the next couple days.

In about 20min, i'll check it out. I'm just taking a quick break from a multi-layer 28 x 15 project - so i cant close open the file right now. I would think there would be an easier way though... oh well.

Manipulate > Exapand/outline/inline > (Choose Outline, Keep Original, 0.00 offset & 0.03 thickness ) Manipulate > Shadows.. > ( Shadow 1, Block shadow ) then set the shadow to be drop right shadow.

if you open the bigger file, you can barely see the cut lines in the black in the sun reflection..

I got the images to download finally.. OK.. I'm pretty sure that those directions aren't going to work, unless I followed them wrong. That still went through and cut both the outline & the shadow. I really need to make the shadow and the outline both be "one" Attached is an image of what im trying to do... ( different font & style but same basic idea since i have SB DEMO on my laptop... and SB for cutting on my desktop thats not connected to the internet..) I only need/want it to cut around the outside of the black. I'll layer the yellow on top of that...

I couldn't look at the files - the forum wouldn't open them... but I do see the first two thumbnails. I understand it and am about to cut with the changes you gave me. ill let you know in 2 minutes if its what i needed (which i have no doubt it is )

Would just a picture work? or do you want the blazer file?

tykite - give me a few hours, and I'll be able to post an example of what I'm working on. Basically I went and made a number with the Text tool. Then: Manipulate > Exapand/outline/inline > (Choose Outline, Keep Original, 0.00 offset & 0.03 thickness ) Then: Manipulate > Shadows.. > ( Shadow 1, Block shadow ) then set the shadow to be drop right shadow. When the cutter cuts, it will cut the outline & the shadow seperately

I just got started... When I use signblazer, and click something, or add an element to the design - my workspace "clears" or appears empty. If I minimize signblazer, and then re-maximize it, it appears back into it. Sometimes it won't disappear, but the changes I made to the elements won't change until i minimize it. For example, I started with a black .eps i made in illustrator. I wanted to go through and make the color changes to cut it with 3 different colors for the different elements. I would select-click, change the color, but it would remain black until i would minimize, and re-maximize Signblazer. THEN... For such things as drawing a circle or a square - my mouse/cursor disappears. I click the circle, square, polyline buttons, and once I get the mouse into the actual workspace, it disappears. I have to guess - click & drag to make the item. Then I have to resize it manually to what I need instead of being able to do it from the start. Also, The top "file, edit, view" standard toolbar disappears occasionally and seemingly randomly. When this happens, I have to go to the task bar, right-click, close to get a "Save" window to appear, close it down and re-start it. Finally - the worst problem I have: "An unrecoverable error has occurred!!!! It may be posible to save yourwork to a file. The file will be named 'Signblazer recover.sbd' Do you wish to save?" Yes/No This happens all..the...freaking...time. I just want to know if there are fixes for this? or is this just something I need to just deal with? Edit: Also, I've tried it on two different PC's. The free dowload demo on my personal laptop & then the full version that came with my pcut on my cutting desktop. A lot of the issues were repeated back and forth. other than just screwing around with my p-cut, this is the first project I did. Sorry it's sideways, I took it with my cell phone, and dont have any editing software on this computer.

It didn't fix anything on the Windows Me system. I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place now.... I reloaded the demo version on my Vista laptop to see if I could replicate the problems again - and it seems to be working great on here now. The problem is, the vista laptop is my personal laptop. The WindowsMe machine is the shop business computer. Because the business bought the damned cutter, I can't just keep Signblazer on my laptop - I HAVE to have it on the Me machine so that the business ( read: my dad & brother ) can use it, otherwise they won't be happy... I knew I should have just bought the machine myself, but they all insisted.... gah. Should I try re-installing the whole program on the Windows Me Machine??? I mean... there are a ton of functions that don't even show up on the other machine!

OK, Thanks for the link & explaining it! I'll download it when I get to the shop ( and thanks Tykite for posting it too ). I'll double check the drivers for my computer, I just re-formatted it, and used the Dell drivers disk I got from Dell a few years ago. The computer is old enough though, that the disk would likely still be the latest... If this doesn't work, I'll send you some video of what it's doing. I captured some of the problems last night...
