I recently sold off my 24" Creation Pcut which I owned for 3-4 years. I would like to still cut but I'm thinking about getting something smaller. I've been checking out the cameo and the software looks good. Does anyone have any input on the cameo?

OK, I returned the cameo and received the 25 " SC cutter. Set up stand without a problem. How ever, when try to cut from the program I get no response. The computer is showing that the drivers are installed and working properly but I get nothing. Also I get a message upon opening program that there is a more current surecuts alot program. any ideas why it's not cutting?

I think I'm going to have to bite the bullet on this one. Lesson Learned.

Good question. I wasn't doing a whole lot of big stuff so I thought I would make some room by going smaller. Not a wise move.

US cutter. Wondering if they will let me return it for one of their 24" cutters like the sc model.

I know if I upgrade the software for $50 i can import SVG files.

Well I went ahead and got the cameo and like you said, I think I'm regretting it. Only had it for two days so haven't had much time to play with it. What I dont like is the software is not as good as software that comes with the larger cutters. i think there is a lot that i wont be able to do with this cutter. for one thing i cant use artwork from other sources and I cant manipulate things as much as when i create in corel. Maybe I need some more time.

Which one of these 24" budget cutters do you believe would be a good replacement for the Creation Pcut? Is it true the MH series can cut directly from Coreldraw and other design programs? Thanks for your input.

Am I going to regret going small and restricting my output sizes?

Does anyone use the Craft Robo SD cutter? I'm currently using an older creation Pcut, a few years old now but still kicking. Just wondering how good the SD is. Thinking about getting one for small jobs.

I have a 24" Creation PCut for about a year maybe a little more. No major problems. Some freezing on big jobs but really only while using Flexi Sign Pro. Once I started using the SignBlazer software the problems stopped. The problem with flexi seemed to be depending on which was turned on or opened first. I think Flexi needed to be opened before turning on the cutter. Not 100 % sure though. With SignBlazer doesn't really matter, always works. Anyway, cutter is still working great just starting to get a little noisier. Any recomendations for Preventive Maintenence ? It would be great to cut off any future problems before they arise. Small lettering not coming out crisp and clean. I can also see where the blades starts and ends. The lettering just looks distorted. What would be the best settings and blades to use for lettering? Any suggestions? Thanks

My wife went to this Uppercase Living Party that a friend was hosting. She spent about $50. When I saw what it was I almost fell over. I told her that I could have done this stuff with my Pcut. All it is, is vinyl designs to put on your walls or on other objects. Now I know what to add to my business. I just have to find the stuff they use. The backing says Oracal 631. Anyone hear of this stuff?

I noticed that too... seems like the lettering was spaced a little wider in some places to miss the rivets? Yes, the lettering was placed to miss the rivets. The customer insisted on getting the material before he got the trailer. He was sure there was just a few rivets. Well as luck would have it, the trailer was covered in rivets every 16 ". So instead of buying more material ( expensive premium for rivets ) we decided to give it a go at sizing the lettering to miss the rivets. This did take some extra time but I think it came out well. Some spacing was more noticeable then others. The bottom line is, the customer was happy. And that made me happy, I was worried I might have to do it over. Thanks PPalmer TeamWearPlus.com

I used to fool around with this a little here and a little there. I recently relocated and started the business. I hope to learn more and do more to become more successful at this. I love this stuff. So any suggestions on any aspect of this business are welcome. You can never get too much training. Thanks

Yes I used Rapid Tac. And let me tell you, their instructions say to let it sit for 30 to 60 sec. I found the vinyl was still lifting off after 5 min. I had better luck leaving it for about 15 min. Then the transfer paper came off with no problem, not one bubble. So I would apply 3 or 4 words then come back and remove transfer paper.

As long as I land on my stomach I should still bounce.
