I have been kicking around the idea of selling it on Ebay, but I am not sure if I would get back what I put into it. It took about 20 hours, and almost $300. Maybe Ill keep it, it already won me $4500 so I think I should save it as a trophy or something. lol I think next year I am going to make Baracade, Thats the police car from the transformer movie. I already order some police leds, and a siren. I will make that one so I can roll across the floor when I am in car mode. If you want the directions let me know and I will make a post of them, I didn't really have any it was all in my head, but I can summerize for you if you want.

Who would like to see USCutter sell 15" Oracal Vinyl
rynecoop replied to Jay2703's topic in Website and Company Feedback
I would like to see them sell 24" also -
Hey so a friend of mine has a brother who owns a plastics plant, and I asked him to get me a quote on some squeegee's, like the 4" one's. I was just wondering if anyone on here would be interested in buying some. I am still waiting to get the quote back, but I know The more I buy the cheaper they will be, So i figured if everyone wanted to order some I would make one huge order and then ship them out to everyone. Just wanted to get a rough idea on how many might want to buy these to "give away" with orders, or even sell. I know I can sell them to a customer for $5 for a 4" one. well let me know what you all think. I will post more info when I get the quote from him.

Thanks for the heads up rodger, now i have something to compare when he gives me the quote.

422, when you use a ------> ; it actually means that a list is supposed to follow, the proper punctuation you should use is ----> , For some one who is so rude and thinks they are smarter than everyone you are not that bright. You have way to make negitive posts on this forum and I hope that you are so smart you can figure it out on your own.

solid backing vs glass application-letters reversed?
rynecoop replied to 422's topic in General discussion
HA HA HA HA HA I just figured out what the problem is, and for some one who is so critical of others we will all get a good laugh out of this. You are installing the graphic up side down! It came to me when you said some were back wards like the E and other were up side down. Go to youtube and search "how to install vinyl graphics" you will be able to see the proper hinge method. If this is the problem, I hope it helps if not, can take pictures of the graphics in every stage and upload and I would be happy to offer my opinion all though I am sure will think it is not good enough for you. -
I will put up the pricing he gives me once I get the quote back from him.

solid backing vs glass application-letters reversed?
rynecoop replied to 422's topic in General discussion
I am no one to have fun at others expense but this is just to easy! I know exactly what his problem is and why everything is back wards either A) The problem exists between the chair and the monitor. or It is am ID 10 T Error (IDIOT) and as for the web site it looks good compared to me 8 year old cousins web site, well no actually his is better. 422, Just so you know this is a forum that contains A LOT of knowledge and you might learn something if you took your head out of your a$$, These people are trying to help you and you act like you know it all. Good luck with what ever venture life takes you on next. -
School Program and MORE
rynecoop replied to SynFX's topic in Business Practices, Sales and Pricing, etc.
cody I think you have a good idea there. I would make up some sort of presentation to take into a school and present your idea to them, and mainly show them the product, and how they can benifit for selling these. If you did this, I would personally charge about $4-5 a sq.ft. for this so that way they can charge the $9, and make a nice profit, so that way they will try to sell more of them. -
need help pricing
rynecoop replied to jfought's topic in Business Practices, Sales and Pricing, etc.
Ya I actually have it all made up in an excel spread sheet that I make charts to use for quick referance. I am also making a "program" in excell to just type in the amounts and get the cost. I will also write out the formula in another post to aid everyone. I think we all need to charge about the same, because if someone only charges half of what they should it hurts the whole industry as a whole. -
School Program and MORE
rynecoop replied to SynFX's topic in Business Practices, Sales and Pricing, etc.
Cody, this sounds like a good idea but I am not sure what exactly you would want the schools to do? Like to sell decals with the school logo, or to have them go out and get the jobs? I think offering to make them there logos at a discounted price, and letting them mark them up would be a good idea, because then you make $ on the decals and the schools would make $ on the mark up to raise funds for certain programs, and events at the school. Hope this helps a little, lets here some more of what your thoughts are, so I can understand a little better. -
need help pricing
rynecoop replied to jfought's topic in Business Practices, Sales and Pricing, etc.
ok, you will be doing 3 sections that will be 18" x 41", you will most likely be using a 24" roll so you have to figure in waste, so figure all sections are 24" x 41". So to do all three you will need to use 24" x 123", now add a little scrap to the front and back and say about 24" x 130" - Now devide both by 12 to get how many feet you need. so it will be 2' x 11', so that is 22 sq. ft. of vinyl to make the product. For a simple design (just words) I charge $9 a sq. ft. so just multiply the sq. ft. price by the square footage, and I come up with a total of $198 just for the decals, Not sure how much you would charge for the install but I would add about $70-$130 depending on diffrent factor, such as how far I would have to drive, and other things, and for the 15" logo I would be about $20, so my min. price I would do it for would be about $290 for everything. Hope this helps and I didn;t confuss you with all this. -
got an idea for my show car, and would like some feedback!?

rynecoop replied to rynecoop's topic in General discussion
it is going to go on an 89 mr2. Thats funny you said that HAUMANA, that was actually the first thing that came to mind, and then I thought maybe the chrome. I like the diamond plate idea better because I think that the diamond plate will last a little longer, I was even thinking about that green multi-lens stuff. -
not sure what everyone elses markets are like, but I would have been about $95 installed, That sign calculator make no sence becasue it said $13 for a 10" x 6" and $25 for a 12" x 24" that is just crazy the front is 6 times more vinyl!!! they way I figure it at least $10 a sq. ft. and so on a 24" roll I would do the 10" x 6" together to use only 6" into the roll, but you always charge for scrape so you would charge for 2 sqft or 12" x 24" to make the sides so just the sides are $20 + the install. Seriously everyone should make sure they are charging enough, because if you charge to little you are hurting everyone as a whole, that forces everyone to lower there prices to get jobs, and we all make less. You can keep yourself VERY busy doing cheap work, but it is very hard to pay the bills with very little profits.

I did my car up with a whole lot of graphics for a local car show. I figured it was a good way to advertise and it was only $15 to enter. I used diamond plate, holigraphic green, chrome, carbon fiber, Glow in the dark vinyl, and alot of plain vinyl. I did the entire car design, cut , weed, and install in 8 hrs, no sleep the night before the show. let me know what you guys think of it. It got me alot of jobs already, did about 10 quotes the next day, and I was still taking names and #'s to go do more, definatly the best advertising yet. there were about 600 cars in the show, and over 8,000 spectators. Oh ya and to top it off I got 3rd place in my division, 96 and up stock, I cant belive people voted for me in that class because the car is not really stock, with all the decals, and tv's and sound system, anyways I got a trophy! oh ya and I got to do some huge burnouts right in front of the cops and didn't get in trouble. http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h102/rynecoop/my%20car/lincolncarshow005.jpg[/img] http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h102/rynecoop/my%20car/lincolncarshow006.jpg[/img] http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h102/rynecoop/my%20car/lincolncarshow007.jpg[/img] http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h102/rynecoop/my%20car/lincolncarshow001.jpg[/img] http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h102/rynecoop/my%20car/lincolncarshow002.jpg[/img] http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h102/rynecoop/my%20car/lincolncarshow003.jpg[/img] http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h102/rynecoop/my%20car/lincolncarshow004.jpg[/img]
