    Sandblasted Glass Sample

Here's a glass sample which I did using 100 grit aluminum oxide at 60 PSI with a sandblast cabinet.

    How about nail polish?

    Sandblasting Glass

I use Aluminum Oxide (100 grit) at 30 psi and just plain ordinary vinyl. http://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p276/rickybh114/Sandblast/DSC01506.jpg[/img] http://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p276/rickybh114/Sandblast/DSC01507.jpg[/img]
  4. Update: I just received the replacement power supply today (via USPS) and thank God that I was only charged $7 for custom duties and taxes. I hope that my future purchases from USCutter will can be sent via USPS and not FedEx which has incredible prices with a few hidden surprises. LOL! :)
  5. Thanks for the heads up. I did not plug the cutter directly on a 220V outlet (this time) but on the 110V socket of my voltage regulator. I think that the default voltage of the cutter was set to 110V instead of 220V and that might be the cause as to why my power supply got burned when I plugged it on a 220V outlet. Quoting a line from the instruction manual..."Plug the power cord in power socket of the machine and a 220V/110V AC power outlet..." This is exactly what I did and then POOF! Anyway, the cutter seems to be doing fine at 110V and I wouldn't dare plug it back on a 220V socket.
  6. That's nice to hear. You should've seen my face when the smoke coming out of the bottom of my cutter! LOL! Update: While waiting for the power supply replacement, I brought my burned power supply to an electronics store to have it checked. Aside from the 2 blown capacitors, everything else is ok. I had the 2 capacitors changed to identical ones, went back home, installed it back and TADA... my cutter WORKS!!! The CD that came along with my cutter didn't contain SignBlazer Elements USCutter Edition and SignCut Pro. I had to download them from http://support.uscutter.com/index.php?group=default I am having problems with SignCut since it doesn't cut my test designs properly (wrong length and width) but SignBlazer works like a charm! I have installed all the necessary software/drivers on both my pc (serial port) and my laptop (usb port). I'm very happy since I can start practicing and familiarizing myself with the software as well as weeding/applying. Here are samples: 1 3/8"X 2 1/2" on my cellphone's cover... and... http://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p276/rickybh114/Refine%20EcoCut/DSC01452.jpg[/img]
  7. Ouch! That looks baaad! The only damage that are obvious on mine are the 2 bloated capacitors... http://s130.photobucket.com/albums/p276/rickybh114/Refine%20EcoCut/
  8. Update: A replacement power supply is on its way and I would like to thank Levi Hartzog (USCutter support specialist) for accommodating me. -Ricky
  9. Thanks for the reply. I already received a message from a support specialist and I will be providing him some pictures of the damaged components inside. I just hope that my problem will be resolved soon.
  10. Today I received my 28" Refine EcoCut that was delivered to my house by FedEx. Everything looked good and complete when I unboxed it. I read the manual prior to operating the unit and when I did an initial test, the cutter went up in smoke! Its as if I had a smoke machine inside my room! I bought it for $22+, paid $200 for FedEx shipping and also paid $123 for custom duties and taxes. Since it is under warranty, how do I go about my problem? Will it be replaced without me spending on the freight? Any comments, suggestions recommendations will be gladly appreciated. Regards, Cristobal Ricardo M. Hojilla P.S. I live in the Philippines
