  1. It doesn't ever get that far, as soon as it boots up it goes straight to please send firmware. I did download the firmware updater to try that, but it won't talk to the machine. Graphtec have never heard of this happening before :/
  2. Yep, straight to the same error message
  3. No storms and it wasn’t even plugged in
  4. I have never attempted to update the firmware, it just stopped working this morning
  5. I've had a google - but I can't find anyone who has ever reported this error before!? Turning on CE7000, screen says Please Send Firmware. I've tried rebooting holding different arrow keys, the firmware has never been updated and it worked before the weekend absolutely fine. A call has been logged with an engineer, but I don't know how long I will have to wait for them to get here so I'm hoping someone has a bright idea so I can do the jobs I've got backed up now! It's less than a month old as well Help!

Cut registration marks instead of printing?

Awesome thanks, I'll have a test of that later

Cut registration marks instead of printing?

Excuse my ignorance - but don't the registration marks need to created by the software. Otherwise how does the cutter know what the registration marks are meant to indicate.

Cut registration marks instead of printing?

I did some again this morning and actually just cutting it like vinyl works well, the small score that it leaves is enough to fold the sheet and it tears apart neatly

Cut registration marks instead of printing?

I've been doing a perf cut, then fold along the edge and it pops out

Cut registration marks instead of printing?

Exactly this. for what it’s worth - I’ve had no issues cutting the magnet sheet on its own

Cut registration marks instead of printing?

Sorry what I meant was registration marks the cutter can read to then cut after I’ve layered. I’m making magnetic signs, was just looking to see if I could mount the vinyl to the magnetic sheet and then cut the sheet afterwards rather than cutting them individually and putting them together. if it was printed media it would be fine because I can print the registration marks, but I can’t see anyway to cut them from Vinyl instead. illustrator and cutting master with a graphtec 7000
  12. I'm having trouble googling for an answer to this, google thinks I mean something slightly different and I can't figure out how to word it for a search... I want to cut a layer of vinyl and a set of registration marks so I can mount the vinyl onto another piece and put it back in the cutter to have it read the registration marks and cut another shape around the outside. I can't see a way of doing this in illustrator though, is it possible or am I looking for something that doesn't exist?

    Rectangle with rounded edges

How about that, I just figured it out! Apparently I needed to transform the shape rather than add an effect. Thanks anyway though

    Rectangle with rounded edges

This is driving me a little mad! I've created a rectangle in illustrator with rounded edges, when I send it to cutting master 4 it shows with square edges. A bit of digging later and I found a suggestion to expand the shape appearance. I now have the CM4 wanting to cut the round edged rectangle and the square edged one on top of each other. I'm pretty sure I'm not asking for anything too complex and theres a very simple solution... Help :)
