Just tried a reset on the cutter and it worked. Only trouble is I normally set new point of origin etc and then send to cut. It would mean having to set new point of origin everytime if I have to reset everytime which can not be right?

I have Vinylmaster DSR and found a solid colour elephant graphic in the clip art.

Thanks not sure which is at fault? Vinylmaster or the cutter?

So the red would be the actual t shirt material? It just cut the outline of the elephant and the letters?

I want to make a outline around it so the centre will be the tshirt colour. I used the outline tool and it looked great but when i sent it to cutter I seperated by color But it did not just cut the black outline it seemed not to see the outline and cut the elephant shape as a solid colour?

Are you sure the blade carrier is installed correctly? Is the V notch of the blade carrier in the right position on the carriage?

I made a design in Vinylmaster DRS and it tells me its 33.27cms wide that is from the edge of the first letter to the outer edge of the last letter. I send to cut and it tells me with a auto weed box around it its 35.67cms wide....ok thats fine. I cut and measure and its cut at 28.50cms ? Why is it not cutting to the size it tells me the design is? Thanks

Many thanks ive just done it. It cut a 25cm x 20cms square in the calibration test, mine measured 20cms x 16cms so put the dimensions in and it cuts perfect now thanks sorted

I bought some flexifoil tshirt HTV from a dealer in the UK. I bought 5 m of black and 5m of white. I tried some of the black and it worked great. Then I tried some of the white it looked a little different if you caught the light on the back of the black HTV it had a dull mottled sort of texture where the adhesive was the white was a satin sort of finish. I carried on and cut a design out and weeded it and noticed the clear backing did not have any tac to it....then I tried to heat press it and it did not stick at all? Not sure if it's a faulty batch or they sent the wrong stuff? It's the first time I've used this company and I placed 2 orders for a trial to see what they were like both orders were wrong, missing items, wrong widths sent, wrong colours etc and then this? They are blaiming the lockdown and been short staffed etc I have emailed them telling them about the latest mistake on the faulty /wrong HTV but seems I'm getting ignored now!

My Liyu DF 631 has a red aluminium U shaped strip at the front, not the white plastic cutting strip. What it for? On one video it said it was a cutting strip? Are you supposed to run a Stanley knife along it to cut your vinyl at the end?

I bought one of these swing presses : https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/281918980519 It has a temp gauge but without spending £40 on a digital infrared thermometer has anybody got one of these models and verify how accurate the temperature is? Also how do I know if the pressure is correct? It has a big plastic screw on the pivot which you tighten up or down for more or less pressure but how do you know if its correct? Many thanks

Had a look before work this morning and it seems the white plasticky cover is wrapped around the plate, seems its tucked behind It and then the plate is fixed in place? Seems no screws holding the plate on unless the 4 screws holding the top grab handles hold the plate on? It seems bit of a job removing the plate to he able to remove the plastic cover?

The gun is 12:1ratio. So at 12 inches away it measures a 1 inch spot, 3 foot away measures a 3 inch spot etc Not sure how the cover removes? It's a white plasticy sort of cover

I bought a infrared temp gun. I set the press at 170c let it warm up, aimed and it reads 108 C ? The bottom of the heat press has a plastic cover and when in open position it hangs down a little so the temp gun is reading the sagging plastic, which i assume affects the temperture? Any ideas thanks

I saw someone on YouTube using heat strips, they stuck them on pieces of paper one in each corner and one in the middle and then shut the press and then read the temps on each one. The only ones I can find on ebay in the UK are forehead ones for measuring body temp so do not go high enough for the temps on a heat press. The £40 infrared heat guns on ebay are all chinese made cheap ones so not calibrated so not sure how accurate they are? Calibrated Fluke ones are £200 I've emailed the supplier to see if hes had any feedback on how accurate the temp gauge on press is

Thanks I recieved it and it was at its maximum setting with a gap between both plates? I did see a video on you tube that shows you putting half a sheet of A4 paper in between both plates and adjusting until it grips it not letting you pull it out so have done that and will see how it goes thanks

I want to make a polka dot stencil? It needs to be 600mm x 600mm and the cut out circles 10mm diameter Similar to this https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/776203495/thick-polka-dots-stencil I have some uber airbrush vinyl Is there an easy way to get everything lined up symmetrical ? Thats automatic instead of manually putting 100s of circles on the design? Thanks

I spent ages on the step and repeat and finally through the towel in! Then found the tile function, made one 10mm circle, aligned it in top left corner. Clicked 32 x 32 amount in tile function with a 20mm spacing and in 5 seconds I had a page full of beautiful circles. Then set nudge to 10mm and selected every other line and nudged the pre set 10mm with arrow key. After spending a couple of hours going round in circles on the step and repeat it took 3 mins in the tile function

I think it will send me mad! If it's all lined up it would look great but I fear things will drift a little after 600 circles? And I'll start hallucinating...

It seems a hard way if each row is 30 circles x 30 circles that's 900 circles to align? And each row is off set to the previous one? I have found a 300mm x 300mm vector polka dot online of 10mm circles which would mean duplicating it and aligning it 9 x to get the 600mm x 600mm

I actually did my first cuts on vinyl today, a little bit of setting up and it cut really good. I think some of the test pieces were a little fine but it cut delicate piece down to 1mm lines. The fun started in the weeding knowing which pieces to remove! Any tips on actually seeing the cuts? when the vinyl is gloss and a lot of shine its hard to catch the light to see the cuts and my older eyes....

How comes on my official copy of Vinylmaster DSR I have 40,000 corporate logos ? What can you actually do with them?
