Dakotagrafx blasted from the back, black paint for the filigree and gold leaf for the lettering and then coated all for protection How do you protect it... I was thinking epoxy is this correct or what would you suggest to protect it ThanKS

MZ SKEETER what kind of decals do you sell. no one is doing sandblasting. Maybe for a reason. THIS POSSIBLY WHY NO ONE IS DOING SANDBLASTING. Is it worth the time that you have into it? SERIOUSLY THINKING NOT WORTH IT... Your time plus supplies. Is there even a profit? THINKING NOT NOW SINCE THERE IS NO ONE DOING SANDBLASTING

Yes it was a royal pain in the as_ I had to do it so many times trying to get it right went threw a whole roll of vinyl 14 inches wide by 10 feet long. As i posted in another thread how to do it on a round object and some one said about cutting out the unnecessarily things ( wasted extra areas ) then place down in the middle then smooth outwards. I went threw 14 inches wide by 10 foot long vinyl. The NC glass is mine WITH A BLACK RUBBER I HAD FOR A BACKGROUND. I hAd John at US Cutter help me with the home in the middle of the Nc state loco l even used a dimmer tool as John even said to use to go deeper

Dakotagrafx No body is doing sandblasting in or around my local area. Every body is doing screen printed t-shirts or vinyl decals or signage on business or car magnets. No one is doing sandblasting. I use my MH 721 vinyl cutter to do my stencils then i weed out what is needed to weed out then i put it on the drinking glasses or mirror or what have you. Then i put it in my Harbor Freight sandblast cabinet and blast away then i soak it in hot / warm water for about 20 minutes and peel it right off then rinse it with warm / hot water to clean it. Dakotagrafx thanks for the compliment thanks.

I like to ask this question as i know the answer but want to ask the forum members. I have seen on EBAY and Etzy drinking glasses coffee mugs, mirrors and other items engraved with Disney items and also NFL along with Nascar names and logos along with cartoon carators. Unless the person has a license which im sure they do not. How can this be aloud. Thanks Junior

THIS IS MY 1ST DRINKING GLASS SANDBLASTED
-
Thanks Darcshadow i will make it a bit smaller to only do a 1/4 of the drinking glass. Thanks so very much. Thanks for all the help every body has offered to me and to all the newbies
-
Thanks Darcshadow. It does not look like it is 1/4 below the rim but it is little over a 1/4 from the top of the rim. I took it with my camera phone. I am not good with pictures and especially with a smartphone. You dont give a smart phone to a dummy. I just learned how to text about 5 years ago thought i was doing some thing good. Every body thought i was crazy as texting is old news.

Slice & Dice Greg with USCUTTER said to try viynal master to do the vectorizing. Haumana I bought the MH 721 right from USCUTTER it came with all the bells and whistles Darcshodow Yes i meant JPEG is the only one i can import or vectorize. Just like some one posted several hockey images i can not even see them unless it is in JPEG for some reason And i am needing several of the hockey images I have went to several free web sites and tried vectorizing them with no luck because they are not JPEG they are EPS
-
Darcshadow I spoke with Greg with USCUTTER and i can only vectorise in JPEG with Vinyal master He has tried several times. I can do most things in Inkscape but i can not get it to go past step 3 FROM Haumana AS I DO NOT SEE NOTHING AT THE BOTTOM of the inkscape window and it will tell you which one is currently highlighted (image = bitmap (you can delete that one), path = vector image) 1.drag and drop the clipart into the working area of inkscape 2. select it (single click) path > trace bitmap (a window will pop up, just click ok, and a vector version will be created). 3. click on one of the image, and move it off one another 4 look at the bottom of the inkscape window and it will tell you which one is currently highlighted (image = bitmap (you can delete that one), path = vector image) 5 now, use the save as, and select where you want to save it to, the format you wish to save it as (.eps, .svg, etc.), and you're done.
