Jay2703 704 Posted August 18, 2008 I have a shape that I want to fit text into. What softwares can do this and which one does it the easiest? For example, I have the shape of a peanut. I want the text that I create to mold to the inside of the peanut shape. I know that I can distort the text manually but is there something easier.
Jay2703 704 Posted August 18, 2008 Thanks Wild, That's the one program I don't have. What about the others?
CyberSultan 6 Posted August 18, 2008 You can do this with Illustrator (I use CS3). It is under Object|Envelope Distort|Make with Top Object. What you do is take your peanut shape (needs to be arranged as the top object) and make it a mesh object (use the mesh tool). Then, with both your text and peanut shape selected, use the Envelope Distort option. It will warp the text into the shape of the peanut.

Can the same be done in Inkscape?
