The cut out decal is smaller than it is

Hi,

I am new to vinyl cutter. I am using Laserpoint II and Surecut a lot pro. I found the cut out decal is a little bit smaller than the design. For example, the design is 12" but the cut out decal is only 11.75". Is it normal? If not, where the problem is? Software or hardware? And how to correct the size please!

Hopefully this will help. It's the opposite of your problem but the same concept.
