Total Failure?

Alright well i've had my plotter for a few years. Has worked great. When I first got it I had lots of problems with static, So I had to move the plotter off of carpet and onto tile for its life span. Unfortunately I still ran into static problems off an on as the vinyl rolls themselves especially siser.

 

Well needless to say the cutter has all but completely stopped working. I have a video showing what its doing.

 

It's weird because i have let it sit for about a month and randomly tried it again and it works and will work for a while (week) and then just start acting the same. The plotter isnt even plugged into the computer either.

 

My question is, is this a problem that can be fixed with a replacement mainboard or am i looking at a new plotter?

A new motherboard should do the trick, they are $80.
