MH871 stops cutting part way through cut? Thanks for any help.

We have had the 871 for about 3 years and it hasn't done a complete cut in several weeks now. We have the ground wire on it and the serial port connection. What it does it will start the cut and after about 10 seconds it goes off and on like you hit the off button and the cutter goes back to the origin and the Welcome screen comes up on the display.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
