PastaDNA 0 Posted February 12, 2012 Hello all, I'm in the market for a cutter/plotter and related software (probably would want something with good tutorials or instructional books/media). My airbrush work does not extend past the hobby level but I think I need to make the leap. BTW, I read many posts and my goodness, there are many talented artists here... Thank you for sharing. My intent is to create basic designs and/or upload images and use the cutter/plotter to cut stencils. I don't want the cheapest set and I simply don't need any anything extravagant - I guess I'm looking for a "chevy model" set up. I guess I'm looking to spend $500 but I don't know if that s enough - I guess I would invest up to $1000 if if I could see the benefit. So, what would you recommend? What cutters or plotters (my work is does not exceed 11x17)? What software - FlexiSign? Coral Draw? Do I need separate cutting software? I'm really at a loss so any advice would be helpful.
