Need advice: Home desktop printer for business?

Hi-

I was up most of last night reading through threads. Great inforamtion in this forum!

I want to do a electronic device skinning business. I read this thread last night (Digital Printed Vinyl Graphics. (using home desktop printer))

and it made me hopeful that I could enter this business with my savings. I don't have much $$$, but have some good product ideas!

• The printer suggested in this thread the "Epson RX595" is older (2008), what replaced this model that could achieve the same results?
  
• What vinyl should I use for skins?
  
• What inks should I use?
  

Am I forgetting anything?

I plan to use a local printer to to do the contour cutting to keep the costs down for now (would that work?).

I appreciate any and all advice!
