joeycuccaro 0 Posted October 22, 2010 Hey all, New with tracing in AI. I have a few quicl questions. Some people have sent me their logo files which are extremely big. When i bring them into AI they are much larger than the given white spacer in AI. My first question is, does the image need to be within the boarders before doing a live trace? If so, what is the best way to shrink it down that keeps it proportional with the original file? When resizing the files, should i make the dimensions the actual dimensions that i want to cut out with the cutter, or does it not matter since my cutting program asks for the sizes? Thanks for the help. Joey
mark-s 1,126 Posted October 22, 2010 Bring it into Photoshop and resize first. Go to image-resize and make the size you want. mark-s

hockeygirl 30 Posted October 22, 2010 You can also resize the artboard in AI to make it bigger than the design, then zoom out to fit all in window.
