Using Serial to USb to connect MH365

SO here is some background, there is a problem with the usb port on my MH365. I have to replace the USB cable every 2-3 weeks. (I get an error that it can't recognize the device) Now the usb has just stopped working. I have submitted a ticket for this.

I just went and bought a Serial to USB adapter. Installed it and everything is recognized. I had to change SignCut to send info to COM7. Now SignCut shows it sending the info to the cutter (it shows the progress box), but the plotter does not move.

Any thoughts or solutions on this?

I was having trouble with my pcut the same and I bought a serial to usb didnot work got online with tech support walked me thru it and the adapter did not work withmy cutter ( everything was recognized but did not cut but tech support told me to buy the keyspan brand and no problem since installing keyspan (tech support done mine remotely on both) good luck jhelms
