edge 67 Posted March 9, 2010 There are so many different shaped signs out there, that I'm not sure I understand your request. But if you mean you desire to create an inset outline that parallels the shape of any HWY sign, many editing programs will allow you to contour the object shape in multiple layers, which would then enable you to trim the layers, resulting in that line.
